Thanks for the redo, I can't stand the square ones. Not playing right now or too soon, but I was curious if this had been done, so look forward to a revision if you do one as well later on too. Just wanted to say it's appreciated : )
hi... I uploaded some screenshots, and I wanted to thank you for the work done in reporting a better version of the work done by square.
before using this mod of yours, I used the Remastered mod and while I was there I thought I'd take screenshots, also to help you with the work done (many don't download without seeing first some pictures).
I was really impressed when I saw the result compared not only to the vanilla one but also to the remastered mod itself, as can be see very well from my uploaded screenshots like in Central Spur Stair, Lower appart. and in Upper app. with better details, or even in Sky saloon with some color.
the only thing to report are some washed out squared textures found in Throne road. as for the sands, I honestly think it's the only texture done well by square.
another thing I noticed and am grateful for is the fact that in many places there is a warm color and now finally thanks to the Reupscaled mod this is no longer the case.
I sincerely hope that the work will be carried forward...
and if I may venture, as I commented in the Remastered mod's post (still seeing a not bad work on vanilla texture like the marble in the 66th floor screenshot), perhaps in a future collaboration and who knows what wonders can be achieved starting from this recovery of the original textures.
I am insanely late to this, but I went ahead and accepted the images you took (thanks!) At some point, I intend to remake this mod with more attention to detail in matching the original textures, as well as using better upscaling methodology (specifically for transparent textures). This was a big, complex project and I could have done a lot things better in hindsight.
