The author's being a bit lazy here. He could've easily made the mod structure as he described it in the description, put the blank or dot replacer in the tex2pack dir then upload them separately.
This would've made it possible to install with Vortex and a lot easier to install
Why did you make this mod so difficult to install?
I have like 15 to 20 other mods that I could install simply via Vortex by pressing the Download with Mod Manager button, even mods from like 2018 and 2019.
Yours always fails when trying to install via Vortex.
Something happens where it overrides the settings of Ivalice UI. I wanted my healthbars to remain invisible if full health, but with these smiley-face replacers (i used three dots files) the health bars are always present. When I reinstall Ivalice UI settings, the healthbars disappear as I preferenced, but the smiley face returns. Not sure how else to explain it, but there may some conflicting files/executions.
Thanks. If I ever get FF12 for PC this will be one of the first mods I download and install. I've hated that smiley face since the game first released on PS2. I have the game for Switch now... and I still hate it. Just doesn't fit with the game's appearance at all.
Then, you'll need to create a folder called "tex2pack_ys.bin.dir", and place your preferred "section_003.bin" file inside.
Create this set of folders below:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE\mods\deploy\ff12data\ps2data\image\ff12\myoshiok\us\packfiles\
Then, while you're in that "packfiles" directory, right-click an empty spot, then hover over "New", and select "Folder", and name the folder "tex2pack_ys.bin.dir", so it will be like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE\mods\deploy\ff12data\ps2data\image\ff12\myoshiok\us\packfiles\tex2pack_ys.bin.dir\
Enter that "tex2pack_ys.bin.dir" folder, and place one of the files of this mod inside. Regardless of whether you choose "section_003 - BlankBubble.tm2" or "section_003 - ThreeDots.tm2", you must rename it to just "section_003.tm2".

But how do I exactly install this? I don't get how I'm supposed to open the tex2pack_ys.bin.dir file?

It would be great if you made this compatible with FF12 External File Loader
