I want to prevent the character's hands from getting stretched when I try to move their position. In the folder gamedata\d3d11\artdata\chr\high\c10\???\mws, the file hc???_03 causes the fingers to stretch especially badly when the hand is moved far from its original position. If I delete the hand bones, the stretching stops, but the animation also disappears. If anyone knows a solution or has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. Also, I would like to know what roles hc???_01 and hc???_02 play.
Thanks for the tutorial! It's given me an excuse to play with Blender, but I've found a problem. I've been trying to give Balthier's face model some relief for the Bearded mod's moustache, but I know very little about 3D modeling. My issue is that when I put it in the game the face looks off, like it's cut vertically in half, and the eyelashes lack transparency.
My guess is that ZodiacEngine is exporting or importing the UV maps incorrectly, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if this can be fixed? I've noticed that it always happens when exporting and replacing the .tri model (even if I don't edit it in Blender).
Idk if this is still actual, but you need to merge the duplicate vertices in blender: select a mesh(for example the Fran's face), select a vertex, then CTRL+L to select all connected vertices. You will notice that the half of the face will be selected. You need to merge the duplicate vertices that are located in the same 3D space. So select all vertices, then press Mesh -> Clean-up -> Merge by distance. Now the vertices in the middle of the face are merged and if to apply the CTRL+L - the whole face's mesh will be selected instead of a half. You need to do this to all meshes that you want to get rid of these edges. Just don't forget to triangulate your meshes before exporting.

@Chad Balthier @ChadBalthier hi , do you know how to port an animation from a character to another one ? i would like to port the animation of balthier when he use a spear in to vaan
Hi, does anyone know how to replace the Basch model with the one from the basch in the tutorial (c1030 file)? I tried renaming the files but it displays the model in bulk (like he doesn't have the right skeleton). I tried the method of the tutorial but once my "phyre" file converted to "sort" with zodiac engine and placed in the export folder, I have a problem with noesiv which does not take it into account...
This is amazing, I wonder if this could be also used to swap models from Dissidia NT as example and rig them on top of any of the party characters. Having characters like Locke or Aranea in this game would be so dope.
But don't get me wrong, editing the preexisting characters to make them look small like FFT/Advance characters, changing hair/outfits etc. has also tons of potential!
EDIT btw it's probably better to emphasize in the description that the gdrive link is the one that should be EXCLUSIVELY used, since the "reference files" in the download section make it look like the whole thing is sketchy

The good link was in the description (I also searched).
