I just found out why everyone except me has been having issues...Thanks to Raiden Ripper. I Apologize to everybody for my Mistake! The Reason why it has been issues working for everyone was because i remebered i downloaded someone's battle_pack.bin, and i been using it ever since not knowing it was not Us Language, and the Addresses were different. I wrote the code for the character replacements at Offset addresses for that current modified bin. It was working for me, but for y'all addresses it was in the Wrong Place! Thats why i was Confused for the Longest! I am so sorry everyone and i will rewrite all the code now and post a new version of My Editor on Nexus Tonight! That just goes to show never download someone's battle_pack.bin! Just use my Editor to do it Safe, and Soundly! Thanks to Raiden Ripper to telling thats the reason my Language was in Gibberish because i was still using someone else's Modified battle_pack.bin! So swapped it for my Back-Up Vbf, and checked the battle_pack.bin and i saw that the Offset Addresses that i wrote the Character code too was way Different! And ps; I am not a Mean Person, Just Blunt, Honest, and Misunderstood so Forgive my ways. And i also just found out you have to write code for every Language also for it to work for other Languages Smh. That is too much work right now to do. So it only Works for Us Languages right now.
Hi, could anyone explain to me how I can manually replace a character with another? Here in the mod post it says it works, but the codes don't match the type of character code and where do I replace them? In the game files or using the cheat engine, hugs
You need the VBF Browser mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy12/mods/3
Use that mod and go to Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE and click on the FFXII_TZA.vbf file. That's where you'll find the ps2data folder and thus the battlepack bin file.
probably an obvious question but you dont do anything with vortex with this correct? also one of the required mods said this mod cant be found anymore but i swear i had it open like 30 mins ago
hey i tried to play as any character with your party editor tool but nothing really changes in game, i had extracted the battle_pack.bin and used it on your file and when i inject it says done but nothing happens in game
Edit* turns out it works but t-posing problem and no door opening and problem was that i was only opening autosave but it works normally with manual save
First of all, I uninstalled a program in order for me to have enough hard drive space to do this, the ps2 data folder is around 20 gigabytes. I extracted the whole 20 gb ps2 data folder, then I had about 15 gb of space left
I opened the battle_pack with the party editor and changed a character. Then I injected the whole 20 gigabyte ps2 folder back into the vbf and let it run for an hour or so.
When I came back. There was less than a gigabyte of space left of my hard drive. I looked at both the extracted folder and the vbf file. They were 20 and 30 gb respectively, nothing had changed about them, but my storage space was gone.
AND when I opened up my game, the character was not changed.
Secondly,
It is very unclear to me what exactly I am supposed to do. Do you actually mean that I must extract the entire ps2 data folder in it's whole and complete 20 Gigabytes file size? And then inject the entire 20 Gigabytes folder back into the game's vbf?
Because that is what I did after I first tried extracting the battle_pack from the correct folder location, I extracted the singular file alone. Then I injected it back where I found it, the singular file
Because I assumed that surely you cannot have meant to extract2 thirdsof the entire game to inject it back in when you only edit the singular file
What exactly is it that you are saying when you say to inject the whole folder? What folder? And what filesize is it for you?
I indeed watched the video
Also how do I get my 15 Gigabytes of storage space back which disappeared into the void and did not come back after a disk cleanup and a defrag
Hello that worked for me, but just one question sir: is it normal after clicking a character (for example vayne in the editor), and when it opens the window i click the battle_pack.bin, and later i inject the whole folder with the VBF browser, it doesnt change anything when i open the game? I dont know if there is something wrong but those were my steps.
Tried to use the cheat engine table simply to use the party editor so that I might have 4 party members active at once. Nothing more fancy than that. However, after opening the table and then selecting ff12, it doesn't matter what I do with the party layout in cheat engine, nothing ever changes. I am really wondering what I might be doing wrong.
I finally figured out what was going on. It's the new patch that steam auto updated. It makes these mods not work anymore. Anyone know how to downgrade to version 1.0.3.0?

Just kidding, yeah, I can't get it to work.
1- Right-click the app then go to Properties
2- Go to the Compatibility tab and mark "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
3- Done
Thank you for your time.
