Hmm, I'm not toooo fond of either of those ideas but I won't say for sure no, aside from that her model does limit how much cloth to remove on the upper part of her stomach as well as all of the brown parts of the outfit. But right now it all depends on when/if I figure out why i'm having a lighting issue even though i edited all of the maps how i think they should be. Been working on something like this and it's pretty much the most i can do for the upper part of the outfit i think ( https://i.imgur.com/U9bUkwO.png ) i think my brain is fried for the day though.

Nice! Left image looks great, but on right can see why you'd be pulling your hair out.

Is it so necessary to have open skin for a female character? Especially if she's underage. Pathetic

Does this mod work with the Draklab loader? This and the Ashe black outfit were the only mods I wanted that I couldn't get Draklab to recognize.

Never mind, I just had to create the file folders manually (the path in the description) and it worked like a charm.

I'll add that (along with a black version of the dress and maaaaaaaaaybe original yellow color of both) in my next release. Right now I'm revisiting the file and cleaning it up. I was not as organized as I should have been with it.

      @Sidewinder1386:
Please release that black & purple version of Ashe! The all-black Ashe is a bit too plain/boring for my tastes but that purple is amazing!
If you could just have her with dark hair (maybe dark blue or black) that would be nice too ;)

See if your mod can be used alongside theirs (cross compatible) if possible?

Not sure if I'll get to it today at this point but yeah I can put that out. I wasn't sure if it was still worth doing with kildaremc's version out there and don't want to step on any toes with too similar a mod.

Just fyi, you can use XULLuxolid's face mod with any of the outfit mods as long as they don't touch the hair or face. But yeah if I changed her hair and you want to use his faces then I'll see if he is ok with it and either of us can probably do it.

i think i figured how to do a proper extract of normal maps. I will try to do a app to convert it; Other thing i found is , you can extract the 3d model of ps2 ffxii and use it as reference to your texture edit. So no more guessing where to edit

Here are the files for penelo, if you want, edit your normal and send me, i will convert it to phyre again

Can you tell us how you convert them back to phyre ? the tex_0_clut_0_c1023_clut_1_n.dds is causing teh weird pattern, I moped up the file and would like to know if they work, but sending you the files with every experimented attempt will be quite annoying for you.

Can you please explain this ? or at least PM ?

here are the bookmarks of file phyre. Use it with hexedit 6.7. But i am trying to do a app to convert the normal texture to phyre.

looks like the odddily looking textures are caused by the *n files like tex_0_clut_0_c1023_clut_1_n.dds.

I'll try to clean this file up and see what it gets me. If all goes well, this will solve our weird looking any texture.

For some reason injecting files has never worked for me. That goes for everything on this site. I am using the VBF Browser and I'm doing everything exactly as it says in every description. Not that it's hard, hell I've handled mods that has been waay more complicated than this: Skyrim mods, Fallout mods, Mass Effect 1-3 mods so this should be a cake walk.

But for some damn reason, none of these mods for this game works.
Never have I had this command prompt telling me it has been successful. I see a black window with white bars forming but only for less than a second and then it's gone.
Does anyone know what could be wrong here?

(in reply to the other comment) Hey, I remember you! Thanks, glad to hear you like them. And I'm sure you can do it eventually with enough time messing around.

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is if you have Steam installed in program files where I've seen issues with modifying files before, but not really sure if that would still interfere with injecting files. And of course this is my first time doing this, so I'm not that experienced, so hopefully someone can help you.

Do you think it might help if I reinstall steam and put it somewhere else?
Ok. Ye, I hope so. I have a problem though. I asked you in the comment section for the vbf browser, but might as well do it here too.
I'm stuck here: ''If I try to open ff12-phyre.exe or open the files with the application, I see the command window open and close fast and it doesn't seem to do anything. ''

I'm at this section in the tutorial a guy made:
Copy the texture file to a folder with the ff12-phyre.exe(it is on the package of vbfbrowser, inside the folder \ff12-vbf). Open a command
prompt and unpack it with this:
      ff12-phyre.exe -u tex_0_clut_0_c1004_clut_1.dds.phyretex_0_clut_0_c1004_clut_1.dds

It might help if it's not too much trouble for you to do so. Pretty sure it's generally recommended to install games outside of program files.

You have to right click the folder that the ff12-phyre.exe and your textures are in, which should be the ff12-vbf folder, and choose "Open command window here" and then that line will work. Problem is, you might need to enable this feature for your Windows through the registry. I had to do it for Windows 10 and followed this link: https://www.windowscentral.com/add-open-command-window-here-back-context-menu-windows-10

Omfg! What a hassle. But isn't powershell the same as command window? So by doing shift+right click I can do the same thing with powershell, can't I?

I'm really sad there's nothing I can do for those at the moment. No texture edit can fix that :(
