    Any updates for this great mod? 
    Would love to be able to switch Vaan in Archaedes and Balfoheim.

    Amazing mod and has really helped in enjoying my overall experience with the game. I wish they had just built the game with this in mind from the start. Anyway, it unfortunately doesn't work in a certain number of towns, I though i would just list a few.

    Balfoheim(though strangely works in shops)
    Archaedes(again only in shops)
    Mt.Bur omisace

    would be great if it worked well in Balfoheim and Archaedes at the very least. just thought I would bring this to you attention!

      I would like to know too. Is it really buggy at all? This is good mod and would be really good mod, if party hp would not show up, while in cities etc

    I don't know why 5 people 'endorsed' this mod when it has an obvious game-breaking bug early on. Wish those 'bucketheads' would bother to test the mod before 'endorsing' it.
    When Balthier/Fran join in the SandSea permanently, you cannot interact with anyone or escape the area. Also has a bug later on in the Phon Coast area. Details are under the Bugs tab.

    If the author here can release a simple 'no minimap' mod separately then that would be AWESOME.

      from investigation looks like minimap was never disabled. just a mis undnerstanding of screenshots. those areas don't have minimaps IIRC during the scenes i took the pics

      Thanks for the reply. A way has been found in the FF12 modding discord but we're waiting a few days or so till the modder gets time to integrate it properly in a user-friendly manner.
      It is like I thought. The minimap thing is obfusticated as all hell and done almost entirely via code instead of any textures/images.
      I was able to hide the cutscene black bars, the overlay map, and even disable the area 'big' map but I couldn't figure out the damn minimap at all.
      Will wait for the programmatically-done solution to be released.

      yeah, i just got to the sandsea and am now stuck there. shame there isn't a fix for this yet, because the mod would be pretty cool otherwise

      luckily this was just a test run and i blazed to that point in the game in like an hour lol.

      daedalus, is there anyway to disable the mod easily, then re-enable it so i can shut it off in anticipation of those 2 periods you noted.
      also, if the modder intended to fix this, they might also see if they can remove the characters during the in-game cut-scenes so there aren't dopplegangers xD the reason i liked the mod was for the immersion-- your characters dont suddenly disappear in towns-- but doubles of everyone kind of breaks that immersion

      There are certain pre-scripted sequences that may break or have unintended glitches due to the presence of extra unintended characters overriding whatever the script says. Unless someone wants to test every location and enable/disable the mod at specific points, then things will still be up in the air as far as compatibility.
      In the many months since I last posted here, there is now a utility that modifies the main exe file to bypass the code for drawing the minimap. It also automatically creates a backup file of the original exe in case SquareEnix want to patch the game again (very doubtful IMHO).
      The Sandsea issue can be bypassed by disabling the mod before that portion of the game and then loading an autosave prior to the requisite event.
      The Phon Coast issue near Archades can similarly be bypassed by disabling the mod & loading the autosave file.
      Both these bugs and their solutions were already posted under the 'Bugs' tab by others.

    Hi, it seems that "desktop.ini" files are present within the download which causes issues when using draklab. draklab will reject the mod because of those files. while not important, maybe putting out an update without those files will be easier for those new to modding.

    yeah i have injected into all the proper files and folds and nothing. i've also injected the full ps2data foldere in the rar file into the correct folder and still nothing works or happens so i am going to say this mod is working improperly or just doesn't work at all

      Or at least let the 4th slot be occupied by any character at any time? You can sort of do it with party editor but it will make you remove the 4th character any time you go in the menu

    Odd. I injected it to the right place but nothing happend. No party in town.
    edit. The front page doesn't make it clear that you need to inject into CH and the IN files. Got it working.
