About this mod
Aiming to bring the in-game characters closer to their character creation counterparts. Work-in-progress, non-lore-friendly player character and NPC HD overhaul. XIPivot is highly recommended but not a requirement. Latest updates posted in the FFXIAH thread linked below, and in the article section. :)

This is not a lore-friendly texture project. Colours will be changed slightly (or completely, depending on how different things are) and some facial features will differ. For a lore-friendly pack, EmiFFXI and/or Ashenbubs are highly recommended.
This project aims to bring the appearance of the in-game characters closer to their character creation counterparts while giving them a HD overhaul and a few touch-ups. Once the player characters are complete, trust NPCs will be worked on next, followed by cutscene NPCs, other humanoid NPCs, equipment and non-humanoids. In other words, if it has joints, it will get an overhaul eventually.
This mod primarily targets compatibility with the NextGames HD compilation. My older work will eventually be updated to reflect this.
This mod will upscale the textures by 4x (128x128 -> 512x512). If using this in conjunction with other HD mods, please consider a 4GB patcher to avoid blackscreens.
XIPivot is highly recommended, otherwise you will need to overwrite the .dat files in your FINAL FANTASY XI install. If you choose to do that, please backup your old files first by adding a prefix or suffix to them.
Current order of progression:
To stay up-to-date with the latest changes and see them in more depth, please check the latest posts in the FFXIAH thread and the articles tab (the FFXIAH thread will probably be much more consistent though). I aim to be transparent with my changes where possible so that if you decide you hate something and want to import textures from an older version, you'll know what to look for. :)
If you have any feedback, please post them here or in the FFXIAH thread. I will also sometimes post updates and work-in-progress pics on r/FFXI. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Disclaimer: The models in the comparison sheets are Blender previews with no lighting enabled. Character creation model previews are a combination of Noesis scene file previews and in-game screenshots from character creation. Environments and equipment featured in in-game screenshots are by Ashenbubs and those included with the NextGames HD pack unless the screenshot is showcasing equipment I have worked on in comparison shots.
I work on this project in my free time, and it requires a lot of hand-painting so updates will be on the slower side. I hope that despite that, you'll look forward to updates. :)
