[Note: This works with ALL versions of the original FATE; Steam, GOG, old school CD from 2004, you name it!]

My dumb as stared at this forever thinking "Does this mean I can use it with the original Fate: Traitor Soul?"

Pretty damn sure this is only for the literally original lol. In case I am wrong, please correct me XD

Says it right on the tin, my friend. Not for Cursed King, Not for Undiscovered Realms, not for Traitor soul. Those aren't the original FATE. Also, you don't need to use this mod for Traitor Soul, since it's basically an injection of Traitor Soul content for the original FATE game.

You're a legend man. I accidentally found your Steam discussion post years ago and you made it obvious you know what you're talking about.
This was the very first real PC game I ever played, didn't even know what Diablo was or anything. This mod makes the game so much more fun to the point I much rather play the first FATE with your mod than play The Cursed King. Thanks man!

Thanks for the feedback, friend. It's been over a decade since I first created this mod, and I'm glad that it's still bringing joy to the lives of random strangers on the internet.

I also enjoy playing FATE 1 over any of the sequels, mainly because the extra mechanics and dungeons just start to become too much. Happy questing and may Dreya the Healer smile upon you.

@BakedToast I take my hat off to you.  I used to mod a game called Freelancer which now has a really small but dedicated community, so I know what it's like making a labour of love to a game that's all but forgotten by most people.  These passion projects, I feel, are the best thing a game can have.  They're something of a gift to people who love to replay the nostalgia and still enjoy them for what they are, but expand on the adventure like they never could in the past.  Nice work.

Think you'll dabble more in future over time, even if really slowly? Would be a shame to lose a modder.  I've only just remembered Fate HAD a modding scene back when and happened across it here in the Nexus.  I'm going to start super basic and just do textures and the UI or something first, but it'd be fun to go deeper.  Did FATE ever have a level editor?

@inquiesco Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. IT's a good game and the nostalgia is real. I'm glad that my work can find purchase in the hearts of fellow FATE-enjoyers.

FATE never had a level editor. The dungeons are generated randomly. If I recall, there is a relatively simple method for making new dungeon types, however I did not delve into it too heavily since my mod focuses on a "Vanilla plus" style of gameplay.

Impressive mod, but i have a question and don't take this the wrong way. Why not just play Fate: The Traitor Soul instead?

I can give you my personal reason which is the first one looks better all around, To Me, and the dungeon generation is easier to navigate and faster making for a more enjoyable experience instead of a bunch of super long dead end hallways.

What files do I remove to uninstall this mod. Wanted to play around with a few things and I want to be able to safely uninstall this and maybe circle back to it, but I can't figure out what folders are for this mod vs the base game

Hey Drakamos, thanks for trying out my mod. As per my Mod instructions, it's advised to have made a backup of the original FATE folder directory before installing the mod. This is because the mod actively overwrites several files in the directory. If you haven't made a backup, you may need to reinstall the game, or if you use a web platform like steam, have the platform 'verify files', which will cause it to replace the overwritten files. The mod doesn't install it's own 'folders'; if you haven't installed it yet, you can open up the .rar file to see what files, are overwritten, and where you can find the originals in the FATE directory.

FATE Ultimate Modpack (FATE The Cursed King Mod)

Key AuthorsBFBBBroReturnsCreatorOriginal AuthorsOnibushi, Heron and the Rest of FATE Community!

He has merged and then some the 2nd 3rd and 4th!
    I'm gonna try to merge these together course idk what I'm doing (Not to this extent, I've made custom items and spells before), but you two could Collab and make:   Fate: Quattuor Mundos {Fourfold Worlds}

Eh google translate Latin/English tried about two dozen names, liked this the most not to long or hard to pronounce.  BFBBBroReturns updates weekly right now just sayin :D. Fate modding seems to have stated up again I hope it keeps going!

Would love to see more of this! Honestly if you could do this for the Cursed King expansion as well it would be awesome. Would eventually like to see Undiscovered Realms content in all 4 Fate games.

Anyway, thank you for your work!
