The mod provides a config file which allows users to tweak various aspects of combat in farthest frontier.

Background

The combat balancing is still pretty wonky in my opinion, so to have a bit more control over the composition of raids, I have exposed the number of battering rams and catapults to be spawned in a config, so they can be overwritten.

As a bonus, you can also toggle, whether your own combatants (Soldiers, Guards, Hunters) should drop their combat equipment on death.
This is quite useful to prevent losing precious swords etc. in the early game.

How to install?
- install melon loader (v0.6.1; do not update to v0.6.2 for now!)
- run game at least once to make sure melon loader is initialised
- copy CombatTweaks.dll into "Mods" folder
- run the game and load/create a new settlement, then close the game (this creates the config file for the mod)
- edit CombatTweaks.cfg in "UserData" to your liking


Currently implemented features
  • toggle whether your hunters, guards and soldiers should drop their combat equipment on death
  • overwrite how many battering rams and catapults can spawn with each raid group
  • toggle whether to perform ram and catapult overrides (set ModifyRaidSetup to false to skip raid editing)


Future plans
  • expose more of the raider spawn code in the config
  • edit damage dealt/received values of different combatants
