This is just fantastic, I didn't enjoy the default seasons lighting at all as I play a lot on south american maps and seasons made them look to bland.. this lighting changed that, and now they look awesome, finally I got the right feel whern playing Brazilian maps :) Thank you !!
Very nice Shader. I included it in my seasons and did some small modifications on it. Night should be dark before sunrise, in my opinion it was too much light around 4 to 5 o´clock. But i need to update environmental data via console after loading my game to get the shader working. Do you know any possibility to get this done automatically when the savegame is starting? Thanks for your work it is fantastic.
No you need to remove the current envMaps, and paste the new ones in the same folder. But you need te remove them first, otherwise they will be overwritten!
After watching the how to video from FARMER KLEIN I made it very easily to install in the base game. The modded map had no files to change which made very easily to work with. I was having issues with how to get it to work on the seasons so I messaged the creator on facebook and he helped me fix my issue!! This mod changes the gameplay 1000x better than the damn GIANTS play!! I totally recommend this mod for everyone if you want more realistic looking maps to play!! Thanks again LUKAS!! YOU DA MAN !!
I needed to watch his tutorial too. was a bit insecure on how to do it. but then I realized that I only had to modify the seasonsfolder in order to make it work.. really is a fantastic experience once you got it running
This looks amazing! I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm wondering - is there an easy way to tweak the ambient light at night? I've always found it frustrating to do any fieldwork at night in the base game, and this looks like it makes the nights even more black.
Hello Thank you! Yes it's possible. Go to the lighting.xml file At the bottom you will see this:
<primaryDynamicLightingScaleCurve> <key time=" 0.0" value="0" /> <key time=" 6.0" value="0.3" /> <key time=" 7.0" value="0.5" /> <key time="19.0" value="0.5" /> <key time="20.0" value="0.7" /> <key time="20.8" value="0.3" /> <key time="24.0" value="0" /> </primaryDynamicLightingScaleCurve> Yo just need to increase the number for time "0.0" and "24.0"
Can anyone confirm whether is mod works with multiplayer?
Part of the installation requires changes to some xml files in the data/maps folder. The developer (Giants), placed a text file in the data folder that states: "Do not modify any files here. The multiplayer will not work anymore."
Check this video. It's long, but explains it very well. I would recommend you watch the whole video. The author of this mod also included a text file with step-by-step easy to follow instructions on how to install as well.
Well... you certainly put a lot of effort into this! Thank you so much! So I was never really happy with the lighting in my Large Mechanic Shop. It's hosted both here and on the official Giants modhub from the FS19 contest. I was never really truly happy with the lighting. I've made some updates, but was still never good enough for my liking. I just followed your instructions, and you've made my shop lighting look 100x better. I think I'll finally upload my update soon along with a recommendation for your mod.
The lighting looks amazing on the map I play on. (Dondiego) Adds that touch of realism that the game needed. Much appreciated. The only thing I noticed was it appears that some clouds (rarely) appear blocky, like big pixels. Hard to explain. Not a big deal though. The lighting at night is actually dark, so it feels more like it's night time.
Awesome work! BTW, since I don't check Nexus often as not many people upload here for the Farming Simulator series... I learned about your mod from Farmer Klein on YouTube. He has a great tutorial video here if you wanted to add it to your media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JyP8HXPiIo
