Is there a way to use this mod without the FOV changes since I already have a different mod for that?

Did you make any changes to bows at all? And are you working on balancing the special ammo still?

I'm sorry, but I am no longer working on my Far Cry 5 and New Dawn mods. Also, no I don't believe I made any changes to bows.

Sure, inside the a3 package you'll find a file called nomadobjecttemplates_rt.fcb which you'll need to convert to a .xml first. Check out the Resistance mod page for a tool that will do this for you.

Once converted, you'll find a load of lines with "fNearFovDegrees" (viewmodel fov) and others with "fIronsightNearFOVDegrees" (ironsight viewmodel fov). The values that these lines use is encoded in something called "BinHex", so you need to figure that out. Schrotflinte12's Viewmodel-Fov-Mod-ND-EDITION mod page contains a manual that will help you with that.

Hi, the mod is very cool. He allowed the game to be made the way it should be. But you can add the same mod but only with 75 fov. I tried to make one myself, but I am not a programmer and I didn’t succeed. If it's not difficult for you, do it with 75 fov. Thank you!

I read that you were going to add back specialty ammo once you've balanced them? Would you consider making the shotgun slug ammo type a commonly found/looted item? The same could apply to the FC5 version of this mod. Speaking realistically here, slugs are just as common as buckshot in the United States and around the same price. It always bugged me how in default FC5 the slugs could only be bought through the "black market" if you had the perk.

    Hi:)
    Sorry, newbie question:
How do I know I have installed it correctly? There is no change in the stats at the workbench.

This mod made me buy the game. Love the work you people are doing.

Workshop stats are independent from the actual weapon stats, so they don't actually tell you anything. Best way to tell is to turn on damage numbers and enemy health bars. The tier 1 enemies will have 50 health and will die in 2 rounds from a rusty 1911 (35 x 2 = 70). In vanilla they had 200 health and the rusty 1911 did 70 damage, so they required three rounds (70 x 3 = 210).

You'll notice a greater lethality with all weapons. The SVD, for example (all variants), does 250 damage and the only enemies that can survive a single round from it are the very highest tier with 400 health.

Hey man, really like the idea of this mod. Although I'd like some options to play with enemies and their original health values because I like mag dumping things from time to time, also the Ai is kind of stupid and having a lotta health is the best way to add any sort of difficulty at this stage.

Also when do you plan on re-adding special ammo types?

You can revert to vanilla health values by removing patch.dbt.fcb from the .a3 file. Use a program like 7zip or WinRAR.

Special ammo types might take a while. There's some other things I'm trying to figure out first.

Thanks i've removed that file and everything should be good. are the stats of weapons in the crafting menu/shop change? Because they all have their default value and i'm not sure if the tier 2 ak is doing less than the tier 3 ak.

Edit: Took around 6 rounds to drop a lvl 1 grunt with a low caliber pistol so it seems to be working.

I'm yet to change anything else besides health values in patch.dbt.fcb, so everything else should work as intended. The weapon tiers are now meaningless in terms of damage, so a tier 2 AK will do the same damage as a tier 3 AK provided they have the same barrel length.
