Beside subjective of personal taste, I knew that so many type and models of Monitors/TVs out there. LCD/LED/OLED/QLED ; IPS/TN/VA... etc.
And they have their own characteristic (from neutral colors to vibrant colors, high to low black levels/white point, etc).

Therefore I made a simple adjustment UI for this mod.
You can adjust Dark Level and Light Intensity, etc.by press END keyboard button to show-up Reshade UI.
Just adjust the value to matching with your current screen (Monitor/TV) or fit with your taste/liking.

    Here some tips for you:

    • For non-OLED/non-IPS screen (e.g TN/VA) you may set values of Dark Level to +0.100 (or more) OR (optional) also set Light Intensity to -0.100 (or lower).
    • 3D Stereoscopic mode optimized for LG 3D Cinema Screen (passive 3D screen; top-bottom), for other 3D screen (e.g Sony and Samsung) or VR (e.g Guy Godin's Virtual Desktop for Oculus Rift/Quest ) you may change 3D stereo format mode from top-bottom to side by side (SBS) to get better 3D Depth perception

    • The runtime (dxgi.dll) and the main header shader (Reshade.fxh) that I included with this mod are the most stable version that I've already tested to run with FC6. It's based on Reshade 4.7 framework. I also tried with Reshade 4.9.x framework but somehow it make crashes (blank screen) when Ubisoft Overlay show up. Therefore I recommended just extract my files, do not running any Reshade installer (because it would download 4.9.x version)
    • This version doesn't included sharpening shader at all, if you need sharpen result you may enable "AMD FidelityFX CAS" on Extended Features inside FC6 graphic settings.
    • if you feel that FidelityFX CAS sharpening is not strong enough for you, then you may add CeeJay's Lumasharpen shader (I've added it as optional file). Extract it into my \simple-realistic\Shaders\ folder, then activate it through UI by give a check mark to "Lumasharpen.fx". The default values already good, but you may tweak and play the value as you like it (for my liking; I only changed "Sharpening Limit" value from +0.035 to +0.525, in my screen this is the best value combined with FidelityFX CAS. Very useful, especially when we don't have Ultra HD Textures DLC installed because our GPU RAM cannot handle it ). For demo, you may check the side by side comparison example in here and here (move the slider in the middle to compare it).
    • If you feel the default lighting effects is too bright, you may try to disable "volumetric booster" effect by pressing DEL (or unchecked it from UI to disable it permanently).
    • Some users report that with Reshade loaded, their fps dropped so much. Quick trick to temporary prevent Reshade to be loaded (without delete it), you may rename runtime file dxgi.dll to dxgi.bak, then run your game and enjoy the highest fps that you can get. :)
Next time if you want to  use Reshade again, and enjoy the beautiful effects of it; just rename back dxgi.bak to dxgi.dll.

** This mod also already tested with Windows 11 (Release version, not beta version), and running so well.

    ** UPDATE info 10/20/2021:
I've added Reshade performance fix patch as optional files here (CREDIT to CrankerX for share this) .
How to install this patch :
    - Extract these files: "dxgi.dll" and "dxgi.ini" into the same folder with my previous files that already installed. Overwrite that my 2 old files as well.

And also a tip for NVIDIA users who face performance loss after activate V-Sync like my self (GPU core running only on half clock speed):
    - Turn OFF V-Sync from FC6 graphics settings
    - Set V-Sync in "Manage 3D Settings" from NV Control Panel bind a profile to Program settings : Farcry6.exe, and set "Vertical Sync" to ON or FAST. You can also set "Low Latency Mode" to Ultra.

    Happy gaming and cheers,
    Chris

      how do you installed it?
Make sure you already extracted files: dxgi.dll, dxgi.ini and simple realistic into the proper folder \Farcry\bin\  (NOT bin plus)

that's weird, since everything works so fine here, and also works fine on my local friends PC here. Windows 10 (build 2004) and Windows 11 (RTM/ 5th Oct. Release).

You may try these steps :
      - clean up your game from any version of Reshade (move files like: dxgi.ini, dxgi.dll, Reshade.ini, folders : \reshade-shaders and \simple-realistic to a temporary folder outside your FC6 folder)
      - run the game, to make sure you didn't accidentally delete wrong files or folders.
      - quit the game
      - extract my files (dxgi.ini, dxgi.dll, and \simple-realistic folder) into \farcry\bin\
      - run the game again.

May I ask you what is FC6 version that you have? Ubisoft+, Ubisoft Connect, or Epic Game Store version?

Why is it installed in the bin folder and not in the bin_plus folder? What is the difference?

I just wanted to thank you for this excellent mod.
I'm not exaggerating, I was about to quit playing the game because the Vanilla settings were seriously bothering me. I was hoping I would find an easy to use mod to fix it and thank you very much, this was exactly what I was looking for.
It looks much more tropical and the nights look so much better too. The whole atmosphere of the game reached a new level imo.

This is the best working Reshade custom shaders for Far Cry 6 yet. Thank you for this!
I have tried the other ones here but they can't beat this.
The optional file LumaSharpen is a must have.

Wow, holy smokes, thank you, my fps went up nicely. I only have a i7-7700 & Titan Rtx so imagine how it will improve the fps for the people here with i9 & 3080ti/3090 pc systems.

I just tried more LumaSharpen options yesterday and selecting Pyramid Shape pattern improves image quality imo. So give it a try. It seems to make some palm trees leaves thinner but the detail is so much better as well as for most other objects. Also setting the Bias to 0.0 instead of the default 1.0 makes the overall picture better for me too.

And for those entering the game with this reshade for the first time if the image is way too bright don't be discouraged. Just increase the Dark Level some and decrease the Light Intensity as mentioned in the reshade notes and it should greatly improve the contrast and overall graphics. And turn off the Volumetric Booster.

I'm trippin' with the intense extra detail by jacking up the Sharpening Limit and Sharpening Strength settings in the Reshade UI window for this shader. I didn't even bother to adjust the two settings until today when I noticed in the Readme that testing was not done on a video card that can handle the full effects of the HD textures. I'm on a Titan Rtx so I thought I'd turn the Limit to .450 and Strength to .7 for Sharpening.

Now I just roam around replaying exploration mode seeing how much closer I can get to objects and still have it be very sharp, and checking out as much as I have time to view in the outrageous bump up of image detail. Btw I have the Dark Level up a few clicks and Light Intensity down a few clicks which is unchanged for the last few weeks.

Edit: It looks like my fps has gone down too much with the two sharpening settings at high levels even with the new game patch of Dec 15, so I'll have to dial them down 20% or so.
