I modified the HITS index calculator but it has no impact, where this file should go ? Thank you again and I'm sure it's an amazing mod, I'd like to try it for myself
I did use my own mod here with the Far Cry Mod Installer, and I believe it must be installed via these directions using the Far Cry 5 instance of the Far Cry Mod Installer, as this mod is not included in the default repository of mods. https://downloads.fcmodding.com/faq/adding/
Feels like PEd Damage Overhaul for RDR2.. a must have stuff like Longer Days too in RDR2. I am not doing "free commercial " for those mods, just saying that it tastes good for the immersion not to have bullet sponges. Developers today have zero talent they have all left the company not gate keeping talents at all. These mods are like a BOON for real for players. No HUD team - DNH 17. Oh dude that's awesome. I've actually done the same thing for personal use including diversifying calibers. Props on figuring out what feet per second equates to in game distance units. Let me know if you'd be down to compare stats and maybe collaborate.
Sure, I haven't taken the time to find a real editor that can extract and edit more than what the Resistance Mod Installer allows. I just added a YouTube video to this showcase the Resistance Mod with high damage.
I'm actually curious what formula you used for your damage numbers. I got mine from picking a commercially available brand then derived the stats from muzzle energy of that cartridge. That wasn't perfect though, I had to add a modifier to pistol calibers to keep them in line with the other weapons though that's more of a product of not being able to change animal, vehicle, and enemy health than anything else.
Oh and how you handled shotguns too. Because the rounds in vanilla are 8 pellet, blue hull 12ga. and when I searched the only 8 pellet blue hull I could find were reduced recoil LE ammo and short shells despite the in game ammo being full length. So based on that we're looking at 8 00 pellets when most full size would have around 15. I don't know. I just stare angrily at the shotgun stats. Probably a case of a game dev just doing research by looking at ammo on google. It is also something you can google and there is a link to a website in the description that briefly explains the formula.

The Resistance Mod itself included a mod manager that is now separate. It's called "Far Cry Mod Installer".
