How did you change the weapon's ads fov to be higher? I like that this mod makes aiming down sight look less like you're pressing your eyeball up to the optic, but I'm a little peeved that the .308 carbine can't one shot (normal, not elite) peggies to the body anymore :/
Check out Schrotflinte12's Self Made Manual. It describes the process of editing the 'fNearFovDegrees' value. In addition to this you want to edit 'fIronsightNearFovDegrees'.
Use the Resistance mod's tools to unpack the game files and convert nomadobjecttemplates_rt.fcb. Use Notepad++ find and replace.
Did you change the HitLocationMultiplier lines to alter the bullet damage for each weapon or did you use something else? Also did you see anything that would change bullet drop or speed?
No worries, bullet drop was easily changeable thanks to the editor tool in the mod installer. Instead of 9.8m/s, most of the bullets were falling at an absurd 20m/s, and flying stupidly slow.
Really enjoying the guns and thus the game itself far more now that guns that should be deadly actually are and visa versa. Only thing I could ask for is some kind of spreadsheet of your modified gun stats in this and New Dawn to look over so I know what is what with each gun as of course the ingame stat blocks I don't think are accurate. Keep up the great work!
P.S. Now that I think about it gun zoom levels feel kind of week even on the most powerful of scopes, is there a way to mod those and if so would you be willing?
I don't have any spreadsheet with the damage values. But if I remember correctly, weapons that use smg ammo do 30 - 40 damage, rifles are 95 - 115, handguns (.44) are 65 - 95 with the lever action rifles being something like 120, lmg weapons are around 250 and .50 BMG weapons are around 1200. So it's all dependent on cartridge and barrel length. I used energy foot pound data to get the ratios right.
The scope zoom values are pretty easy to change from what I remember. I believe the Resistance mod even includes an editor for them now.
I like the mod so far, finally makes the (southpaw??) m1a feel like an actual rifle rather than a marshmallow gun. However would you also consider adjusting some of the weapon hip/aim spread modifiers? For example, I always felt that the shotguns had to wide of a spread, even for their respective barrel lengths. Not to mention some of the rifles having accuracy that I don't think lines up very well with reality.
I found a mod that does that but it conflicts with this mod. And out of the two I much prefer this one.
Alright, haven't installed the mod yet (nor have I downloaded the Resistance Mod, lol), but I am loving this idea. It's honestly been something I have talked about since I played Far Cry 3 since my main gripe was that the Desert Eagle is labeled as the .50AE version, but it's actually the .44 Magnum version. Gonna consider getting this mod when special ammo types are reintroduced since I enjoy carpet bombing areas with cluster munitions.
is there anyway you could separate the FOV mod from the rest? the FOV makes it extremely difficult to look down the sights. i really love the damage and ammo modifiers but the fov makes it very hard to use
Just getting the hang of the Resistance mod manager now, and I gotta say, your mod especially has really made this like a whole new game. It used to bug me so very much how arbitrary the weapons and ammo seemed in game. That redone 50 cal is a real now!

Shame I couldn't find a way to fix the scopes :/
