unlocking the vector involves copying and pasting two files in place of another two files, and then opening the game, saving the game when you confirm the gun is in the shop, then you can revert the files.
you replace the patch.dat and .fat with the common.dat and .fat, get in check the shop, save the game, close it, replace the copied files with originals, and thats that.
i dont think a mod could do all that, but you're free to do the method yourself on your own save, you can find a guide on reddit if what i've said is confusing.
Anyway to make a mod that just unlocks the vector? Also how hard would it be to create a mod that increases the magazine capacity of the AR-CL to 30 rounds? Its stupid they limited it to 12 rounds and that is with the extended mag upgrade. I want to use the AR-CL so bad it would be a great weapon, but the 12 round mag is unrealistic and handicaps the rifle far to much. It's stupid to have the option to use full auto and 3 round burst when the mag only holds 12 rounds.

Im waiting for confirmation of modding tools like gibbed's tools being updated for far cry 5, but cus EAC is in game some people speculate that any mods will get your account/cdkey banned.
the file structure is similar to fc3, and i have a mod in mind to overhaul gun names, stats, handling characteristics, damage, spread, etc etc. I also want more attachments and better rreticles that weren't made by a moron who's never used a holographic sight before.
i tried usding the fc3 and fc4 gibbed tools to unpack the patch file but there were errors, so i dont know if its possible yet, but a simple mod to change gun stats is pretty easy, well with fc3 it was easy anyway. so i imagine it would be the same in this, once the tools are released which have been updated to fc5.

people speculate that ubisoft removed it from the game so they could throw it in as a reward for a few community members to have the chance of winning at the end of a big challenge or community wide challenge that will see thousands compete and only a handful be rewarded.
whatever the case it's scummy of them to add it to the base game 1.0, and remove it from digital copies before they even got the game as it came as 1.2.5 for me on digital, but physical guys have 1.0 files, yet we digital guys still have the 1.0 patch files.

Would be cool to try a playthrough without using a gun at all, just melee and slingshot.
