I didn't see any difference. I opened the correct executable in modinstaller and installed your mod with it. However, I don't see anything different. One thing I've noticed since the release is that the filter gets even worse when you run it.
Finally someone did it! :D Could you take a look at the assassins creed game like origins and odyssey? They also have problems with anistropic filtering.
Hey there, I'm well aware of AC's god awful texture filtering setup. However, Dunia/Disrupt engine is different from the Anvil/AnvilNext engine - they do share technology of course but that doesn't mean they can be modded the same way.
So to be honest, I really don't know - I'd have to take a peep at the game's files.
Thanks for answering :) It would be for sure a great contribution to the community if it was possible to fix the AF! Also, are you planning to address the AF in Far Cry 6 too?
I would do it for Far Cry 6 if I owned it, but I don't - to be completely honest I've got no interest in it and it's quite expensive at the moment. I bought Primal and New Dawn just to mod them, but FC6's price is too high to justify a purchase. If someone feels generous and wants to gift me a Steam copy, I wouldn't say no :)
I need a bit more info than just "it's not working". Version of the game (Steam/Uplay), mods installed, which method of installation was used, screenshots - whatever may help identifying the issue.
To give more context, i added it through "FC5 MOD INSTALLER". Now i can see the fog anisotropic gives is a little more sharper, but it´s still blurry, even on SMAA, my guess is it must be engine limitations
Yes, as stated in the description - FC5's version of the Dunia engine does something weird with texture streaming. 16x AF does help a bit, but some textures (eg roads) are still blurry in the distance, because instead of streaming in the full resolution texture, it streams mip-maps instead (lower-rez counterpart of the same texture basically). I'm not sure how this system works exactly, but I am looking into ways to address this.
