4000% ? What were you thinking man.. You might as well just disable being able to buy ammo at all. Far Cry is literally about shooting things up and you decide to make the ammo cost 4000%, just ridiculous! No fun playing Far Cry when you're constantly running away from fights because you know it'll cost you more than it's worth.
It's very easy to hijack a truck and deliver for more ammo, and way too expensive to restock ammo, so I only use money for guns but the guns aren't really expensive so I have a full wallet and even with a full wallet I don't buy ammo because a truck is easier and way 'cheaper' but it's annoying how often you run out of ammo in gunfights and you constantly have to hold back. All this mod does is cripple the experience. The slower reloads and weapon switching are great additions but the prices are completely out of whack.
Have you thought of the possibility of changing weapon ammo types and adjusting their damage, like it was done in some other mods? And maybe limiting the carrying capacity as well?
this is really nice. my one issue is half reload speed makes the moment the bullets appear in ur clip much earlier than when u actually see the magazine enter the gun in the animation. does anyone know how i can edit the xml or smth to make it like 66.6% reload speed?
I haven't downloaded the mod yet. It sounds really cool, but it has a few things that I'd complain about. I like the idea of the ammo being ridiculously expensive, it makes perfect sense and sounds pretty fun. But a 40 times multiplier sounds like way way too much. Maybe lowered to around 10 or 20 times would be preferable. Second is the fact that ammo pickups are basically nonexistant. I, again, like the idea of ammo drops being greatly lowered, but finding 0 to 1 bullet per enemy is way way too intense. You get around half a magazine per dropped gun, I'd like to see that halved twice again, meaning you'd be getting about 5 rounds per assault rifle dropped, which seems far more fair
I want my far cry to be intense and hardcore, but maybe if there was a "Still hardcore but slightly less hardcore" version I'd download that in a second.
I was going to use this mod to start another playthrough of Far Cry 4, but when I read how truly sparse ammo is..
Well, in my own personal opinion, I think realistically you should be able to take the magazine off of a Red Army Soldier's AK and put it in your own gun. And when you loot the body of a fallen Red Army Soldier, chances are they're going to be carrying 3-4 extra magazines in their pockets / rigs, maybe even more than that. Looting a single bullet off of a person is just ridiculous.. At least, like I said, that's my opinion.
You've got the concept down, but I think it'd be better if you had an alternate version that allowed you to perhaps loot half a magazine from fallen combatants.
