Today I am officially retiring FC3Rebal, something I probably should have done a while back when I stopped checking the comments section every day and releasing updates every few weeks, and I'm very sorry for that.
I'd like to thank everyone who helped me put together this compilation, thank you to everyone who contributed suggestions and ideas, and thank you to everyone who downloaded, enjoyed, and endorsed my mod, making this such a rewarding experience. Thank you especially to everyone who was kind enough to share with me what this mod meant to you.
This was my first major publically released modification, and feel like I accomplished everything possible that I set out to do in creating my artistic vision of the way this game should have been and the first time, and my only regret is that I couldn't make it all things to all people. Maybe someday I'll be able to work on a development team and help make a game right the first time, maybe I'll release another mod for another game at some point. I don't know. What I do know is that I appreciate all the support this community has provided and hope you enjoyed playing this mod as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.
Although this mod will be in retirement from a development standpoint, I will leave the comments section open for you to share with and help one another, and stay available for download as long as nexusmods will keep it up.
Sincerely, MrPingy

Hi, I have played with this mod back in 2022 and I really enjoy it, but since summer 2023 Ubisoft hase updated this game a few times and a lot of mods do not work, like Ziggys mod, etc. I was wondering if this one works, for me its not very enjoying playing FC3 Vanilla after compliting it 11 time.
I know im 9 years late, but I had an issue where after attaching a scope on a weapon and aiming it down, the scope doesnt appear to be visible/theyre not there at all. To fix this just unequip the weapon, and equip it back
having a strange graphics bug where body is stuck in a strange position but i can move, my arms are stuck upright, heres a imgur link to show it. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this? https://imgur.com/a/O6qephp
I saw that little "easter egg" while I was in that dream sequence when you kill Vaas. I feel a little embarrassed that I had THAT on my shirt the whole time. Those pirates must have been laughing at me quite a bit until I, well, you know... Killed them.
No offense or anything, but I felt a little cancer seep into my brain when I first saw it. Other than that, great mod! Endorsed!
lol no offense taken, I knew not everyone would like it. But... it wasn't just some random nonsense I threw in. Here's why I did it.
In the beginning you are a (basically) innocent young man who is kidapped by pirates. Your brother the soldier, the should-have-been protagonist, dies a rather gruesome death in your arms. Then while running away you're forced to kill a pirate who attacks you in self defense, drop the knife in horror, and continue running.
The clothes you finish the game in are the clothes you had on in your innocence, having fun with friends, enjoying the good things in life, before you are forced into a role you never wanted which transforms you. The shirt was my way of reminding you in the end who you were when it all began, bringing the "innocence lost" theme of the story full-circle and providing even more context to the final decision. Do you embrace the principles you had when you began? Or have you completely transformed into a monster? More about the bad ending
Spoiler:
Show
with that being on your shirt, the final stab at the end is not only your physical death, but also symbolic of what what had been killed in you for you to choose that path in the first place.
Mod endorsed, absolutely fantastic and I love the weapon handling.
fair warning to all new players, the on-the-rail scenes are really really hard with this mod! if there is a cut scene before a fight, I switch to easy.
Mod Idea: The funny thing about Far Cry 3's mod page:
everywhere I go I hear that "far cry 2 was the best game in the series". But I can't find a single mod that adds FC2's immersive handheld map and monocular or weapon degradation to the game.
Seeing as these could be hard to implement, I thought it might be easier to have all guns purchased be "consumable" if a player switches the gun at a gun shop they keep the gun they "put away" but, should a player switch their gun out in the open world, they will lose it?
Good mod but with the new pirates' outfits is nearly impossible to spot them in the jungle but they see me just fine, and on Master difficulty this usually means instant death. The don't even appear on the minimap so it got really tough to see them. WIll either switch to casual or uninstall it. Shame.
it aint that bad, in fact I think its a lot more balanced. I rarely get surprised by these enemies and when I do its a lot of fun, adds a good challenge.
How can i FULLY remove the hud? If i unpack the mod archives using Gibbed, which files i have to delete to remove the map, the pop-ups and the munition indicator? I like more a fully clean screen...
