Doesn't work at all. Installed latest version of Reshade 5.2.2. Launching game says it has compile errors for the CAS.fx shader. Updated game path in the reshade.ini, but no effect. Bought on Steam and using DX11
Try a different reshade, this one's too outdated looks like. Can't even work properly
I would like to add to the instructions. If you DON'T have the game installed at "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Far Cry 3", you need to open ReShade.ini and change that to your path. Just open the .ini-file in notepad and do a "Replace..." command (Crtl+H) and replace D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Far Cry 3 with your path, then save.
Hahaha, funny question. You can greatly reduce the FPS hit by disabling "Clarity" and "PPFX_SSDO." I've not made it out of the beginning stages (still night time), but so far the SSDO shows no visual difference.
Great thanks to the author! I like all three versions. They really make the game look amazing. I'm just now discovering mods and how to use them. I wish more games would allow reshades. I'm new to the Far Cry series, I never played any of them until recently. I haven't played an FPS game in like 10 years and now that I have, I understand why it is the greatest greatest FPS franchise ever. I first got Far Cry 5 on sale and thought it might be interesting but I love it so much that I went and bought the other four games.
This works really well but when I boot the game, all effects are disabled and I have to turn them on with the check boxes. But then it wont save because reshade.ini is locked as read only. Any time I launch the game it locks it and I have to enable the effects on each launch. Any Idea why? or is there a setting I can add to the ini that will enable the effects at launch?

Think it might be because I bought it on the Uplay Launcher instead of Steam?
