I ended up going to the link http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/734046-Mods-for-Far-Cry-3 and modded the uniform myself. This way I can use the swartz mod compliation which is a patch.dat file which is the one I unpacked.
Update.
I just made the uniform have its effects enabled. So after completing the main story line, you will still maintain your privateer status. I have them uploaded as patch files. So just drop the files in game directory. Everything should be set.

Um, it didn't work....I went and changed the fc3_master.chapter09.lua file like you said. And when I went into the game, the privateers still attacked me on sight. And this is kind of important that I know this, because if/when I do know this I am going to put it in as another file in my privateer outfit patch file conversion. http://www.nexusmods.com/farcry3/mods/129/? So do you only edit the l0:Unequip(); line to l0:Equip(); or is there something else that I'm missing? By the way I'm using Swartz compilation mod if that helps. Okay, Thanks in advance.
I think you also forgot the line Unequipped = DummyFunction; The original was Unequipped = self.f_7_Unequipped;
Not sure why it wouldn't work for you. Chapter 9 is basically where they take the effect away from you. This code change is just so you can keep playing as a privateer after beating the game. If you start a new game, you won't get the effect until you do the doppelganger mission again.
I'll double check with another new playthrough. Because my previous saves which are after beating the game, still works. They are greeting me and stopping their vehicles.
Alright, so we know it didn't work for you because you just started the game hehe. You get the Uniform effect once you complete the Doppleganger mission.
This seems very late to comment, not sure if anyone is still commenting on this but, is it possible to merge this with ziggys mod? i looked up on how to do it but, the hxd and other files got my all confused haha. i am not very good with these tools. if some one could help me out that would be great, thanks in advance!
Changing the radio in the car. Those files seem to be in sound.dat. Unpack the sound.dat the same way as patch.dat. Sounds are in SBAO format so you have to download oggdec v1.9.9. Drag all the files or one at a time on to the oggdec executable file. It will convert them to .wav files. You can only change radio music with one another, game seems to crash when I add the skrillrex music to replace any of them.

I have been looking for a mod like this since I beat the game, but I searched all the folders in my Far Cry 3 directory without finding the entity folder you talked about. Please be more specific in where the files go.
Download this http://svn.gib.me/builds/dunia2/ and then unpack the patch.Dat file. Warning: the patch.Fat file needs to be in the same folder as the patch.Dat file for you to be able to unpack it successfully. And then look into the newly unpacked patch.Dat file. And then the directory should be, worlds/fc3_main/generated. And then you will come across a file called fc3_main_depload.Dat. but there is a problem here......There is no fc3_main_depload.Fat file anywhere. And you need the .Fat file in the same folder to unpack it. Even I haven't figured out what to do yet......And if you have any questions, or even answers to the problem I would love to hear them.
