is this compatible with the mod loader for 76? tried using it previously with the one I use (F76QC) but it didn't work, just stuck with a handmade painted pink instead
edit: clearly i did something wrong previously as it now works perfectly fine now, and god this is a nice model for this rifle
For the information of everyone, it should apply to this mod also.
How to get AK47, M4 And R91 Handmade skins
For the R91 skin you can download a mod from the Nexus. Now the problem in the past was that the R91 replaced the AK47 model of the Handmade. However, the Light Em Up skin for the Handmade which has an AK47 look has a custom model and does not get broken when using the R91 mod (The Chinese AR skin will break, unfortunately). So you can have all three weapon skins at the same time.
AK47 Look- Use Light Em Up Handmade skin R91 Look- Use a Nexus R91 mod. M4 Look- Use any Screaming Eagle skin.
I am baffled why this isn't a thing in game or why they don't just add a dang R91 in one of the updates. It is a solid Pre-War American Military Rifle and I have no idea why they have refused to add it even though it shows up on perks cards and other illustrations in 76 and even Fallout 4.
Thanks for bringing a basically done skin they have never added into the game. Hears hoping maybe one day in one update they might bring back the R91 as its own weapon and make it the Pre-War American Assault Rifle again.
The R91 was in the game files, but they never implemented it, we have a full model and textures for it (not too far off from this one, too, main difference is the charging handle and iron sights.)
They went way to wacky with the art style honestly It needs to be toned down just a hair but besides that how does it not fit? They have .44 Pistol, Deliverer, Kellogg's Pistol, Western Revolver, Handmade Rifle, Radium Rifle, Lever-action rifle, Submachine gun, Double-barrel shotgun, Minigun, Hunting Rifle, & more if we add what Bethesda added to creation club from Fallout 4. They are based on real firearms and over all aren't that different to there real life counter parts. I for one want them to bring back the R91 and make it the Pre-War American Assault Rifle again and keep the current "assault rifle" as a weird Machine Gun like they originally intended or a special weapon for power armor that can be used by standard infantry if they must. Nothing stopping them from doing it or stylizing the R91 a bit like the did through 10mm pistol. Its shown in Perk Cards and in game signs like Commonwealth Weaponry in Fallout 4 ffs.
Looks great! Is there any chance at all that this could be ported as a standalone rifle for Fallout 4? We dont really have a good R91 for Fallout 4 and this would be splendid at filling that void.
No. Bethesda and Nexus Mods both IMMEDIATELY go after anyone who ports assets to other Bethesda games, thus why no Fallout 3/NV or 76 assets are ported to Fallout 4. Something to do with copyright.
There was a mod putting in the Screaming Eagle rifle from 76 (Multiple mods doing this actually) and someone just today made a mod for the Hellstorm missile launcher and 10mm SMG from 76 as well. I would think its worth looking into.
Works just fine (not sure about people having problems installing or wanting it to do something other than described). I have only one complaint, and I'm sure it's nothing to do with your work: all Handmades, regardless of size/state/number of included mods, look like an R91 with full stock, long barrel and compensator with this mod active. I suspect the reason the R91 skin wasn't activated by Beth is because resources are missing for other states of the gun. When I pick up a Short Handmade, I expect it to look like a Short R91, not like a Compensated Marksman's R91. Oh well, looks very nice regardless.
