Its mod creators like you that make my life a living hell. First i found out all things i didn't know i needed, then i have to download and install them. And then...And then I have to buy a new hard drive because you ppl are just eating the heck out of my available space!!!!
In other words love your stuff dude and thanks for all the great work.
Installed manually then, deleted, reinstalled via Vortex then deleted, re-re-REinstalled AGAIN via FO76 Quick Configuration then deleted. All three times this mod's glass will not show up in my build menu. I have the three files, and the additions to the [Archive] list properly installed, but no go. Can anyone shed light on why?
Mind if I ask what have you tried to achieve with this exact comment? Do you expect people to cooperate after showing disrespect to their work/time? Knowing others are not obliged to help you instantly on the first demand because they have their own lives to live is also a thing to consider.
You know, I wrote hundreds (if not thousands) of comments helping people who politely asked for that, but this time I'll only go as far as this:
The issue is clearly on your end. The mod works just fine on mine.
hey everyone, so this is my very first mod download and im working on getting more in there but i have a few questions,
(1) if i dont already have the glass windows will this install them for me or are these useless?
(2) on step 2 were supposed to paste "sResourceArchive2List = GH_Glass_M.ba2, GH_Glass_T.ba2, Beams.ba2" to the archive...? i dont see any files that say archive in my 76 folder...does anyone a good place i can watch how to install these mods? thanks everyone
Alas, these windows were a season 2 rank 100 reward and never became available via other means ever since, so no, the mod won't give you them, it is a mere retexture for the frames and glass.
Since this is your first mod, you most probably will need to create fallout76custom.ini within your documents/my games/fallout76 folder. After that just create the [archive] section there and paste the string you described there. The contents of the file will look like this:
If you will install other mods, files from which also go under the same sResourceArchive2List string, you need to just add these files' names to the end of the string separated by commas from each other like this: [Archive] sResourceArchive2List = GH_Glass_M.ba2, GH_Glass_T.ba2, Beams.ba2, Other_Mod.ba2, Another_Mod.ba2
if the description of the mod says to put the files under the sResourceIndexFileList string, then you just need to add this string below sResourceArchive2List and append filenames to it according to the same scheme, just like this:
You're welcome. As I already mentioned in the previous post, the opportunity to get the glasshouse building set never presented itself after conclusion of Season 2.
Unfortunately no. Ther is always an edge case where one can switch all the models of one wall type (say, brick ones) to another one in question, but it will lead to couple issues:
Other people will still see bricks where you supposed to have glass walls (the same goes for any cosmetic mods in this game) and it will ruin your design concept for anyone who will pass by. It will also ruin others' homes' designs for you since half of the Appalachia will suddenly become glasshouse town from the moment you'll install such mod :D
I hope the info I provided will help you with your future modding endaevours! Cheers!
There is a mod here on Nexus that allows you to build with glass walls, even if you don't have them, but only you will see glass walls, others will see wooden walls;
That's exactly what I described in my post from a year ago :D the possibility of that recently released mod and the potential consequences of its usage.

Great work on this man, i have a tiny request for the glass, this might be a little annoying to ask but.. could you make a version that's a little bit dirty? just a tiny bit of fogginess or something for the glass because it looks way too clean in 90% of lighting/cases the glass looks invisible and looks like its just metal frames with holes in them.
It feels a a lit'l Christmas present to me. I recall having request of the two of you to work collaboratively in some manner many months ago. You are both such creative and prolific mod authors in your own ways. ...Two way up.
You are always very welcome Rigell... Once again even - if though I've said it so many times,I mean it whole-heartedly:... Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and yours...The same wishes to your sister Arianna.
I love the clean glass, but I'm not a fan of the darker metal, it doesn't go well with my camp lol, is there any way to leave the standard and make the glass itself clean?
Yeah, the raider power armor didn't get much love ever since release but the problem is, I guess, that no one really uses it beyond maybe several levels after lvl 15. Neither do I and this is a criteria I use when it comes to modding. 98% of everything I used to mod and release here on nexus was the stuff I personally use or encounter in the game every gaming session. This makes my gameplay experience a much more pleasant one. As a rule of thumb if this is not what I use/see/hear frequently, I don't mod it.
To conclude I need to thank you for your suggestion but unfortunately modding Raider PA is not something I will prioritize in the forseeable future. PA modding is a very time consuming process for a single request, sorry.

Once you get used to this simple process, you won't need any mod managers at all, it's all nice and simple this way.
