I figured out what the problem with the provided archived .ba2 version was. I think you compressed the files in Archive2 tool using the "General" format which is used for all other files BUT textures. The latter should be archived using the "DDS" format (can be changed in Archive ---> Settings). Should you have problems getting the provided archive to work, try using the one I created myself: [REMOVED] - correct file provided by the mod author.
Wow you're right. That's a facepalm right there. Can't believe I made that mistake and didn't notice! xD Will update, but can you edit your comment to remove the link? I don't want to be sending people outside of the nexus!
Can someone update this to use the .ba2 file method like other new mods are using, so we don't have to mess around with files and download the Fallout Creation Kit just to install it?
I was about to try that myself. Beth has no protection in place at all, you can even extract all the F76 meshes, textures, etc. I hope they wont do something stupied and ban people who use texture mods.
I mean in my opinion they shouldn't ban players who replace client side textures using mods personal or otherwise. Since I believe it would fall under the same category as HUD settings, or sound settings, or graphic settings. Plus it's not like texture replacers give any real advantage over other players, it's esm edits that could.
Now... Lets see if someone can see about porting over.... The Proto Vault Suit Retextures, since I always preferred those over the standards, even the 76 one is... Meh
Something I was thinking about but can't research myself (at least easily) - can you get at the leveled lists in the archives? Because if you can, they could potentially be edited, right? Like you did these textures?
Which means PC players could edit loot and container drops client-side.
Leveled lists aren't in the archives, they are in the SeventySix.esm file. Which I don't believe we have access to modify yet, though xEdit team is working on it. I strongly recommend against modifying this file. Don't know what kind of damage it can do to your character online, especially every time it updates.

Sorry I forgot about this.
I know that I installed it correctly as I used the exact same method to install Better Inventory mod and that one worked without problems :/
Still you've found a way and texture modding is possible so that's good news. I might actually get the game now.

But yeah, pretty much.
