    This is getting very weird... some of you say that Santatron is being silenced, some say he isn't.

    I could use some more information from you guys. Please reply to this post with the following information:

    - What language your run the game in.
    - Whether you're using the loose files or the BA2 archive.
    - Whether or not Santatron is being muted correctly in your game.

    This will really help me narrow down what the problem is!

      -I play in French (but seem not work in english too)
      -I use the BA2 file.
      -Santatron isn't muted (but Collectron is)

      Edit: Removing the file and disabling the mod entirely then launching the game, exiting and reinstalling the mod then booting up the game again caused the mod to function properly with Santa.
      Thank you canisoftlykissu for pointing this out, I feel like a dumbass for not having done so earlier, expecting it to work like the majority of the other mods I've been using.
      And thank you UlithiumDragon for the mod, loving it and it's working phenomenally!

      i play in english, use the BA2, the mod functions correctly. i did not upgrade from a previous version (if that helps)

      First off, thanks for doing the mod!
      The Santatron is not silent for me either. It seems to have all of its normal speech lines. I play in English, use BA2. Keeping the Santatron b/c of the gifts, but it is tough putting up with all of the lines and noise from this thing. Be great if you could help us get rid of all of that. Thanks!

      So far I'm not seeing any correlation that could explain why the mod is working for some people and not others... I'm really stumped guys. This makes no sense. :/

      Just out of curiosity, for those of you that are having problems, were you running a previous version? If so, did you try to uninstall the mod, reboot the game without the mod installed then install the new version of the mod? I don't know how to mod but have used quite a few and sometimes little tricks like that can make a difference.

      I haven't played Wastelander much at all since it came out, but it does seem that it broke this mod. I can't garment that I'll ever get around to fixing it, either. My interest in F76 is pretty dead right now.

      i'm guessing the mod doesn't work with wastelanders anymore? i haven't tried it but seeing other users posts kinda tells me it doesn't is your mod easily recreatable? if you don't mind could you tell me how you did it and maybe i can recreate it? thanks :) i also want to remove other annoying sounds in the game too.

      1) Use Archive2 (from Fallout 4) to open and extract the audio files from the archive "SeventySix - Voices.ba2".

      2) Locate the sound files (you will have to guess). They will most likely be in one of the subfolder in "sound/voice/seventysix.esm/" that starts with "robotprotectron" (but I cannot guarantee this).

      3) Use a FUZ converter on the audio files you suspect (I recommend converting the entire subfolder). There are several options, such as this one and this one.

      4) Play the converted audio files to determine the lines to replace. Once you find one of them, copy+paste one of the blank audio files from this mod and replace the ID with the ID of the line you found. Note that you do not have to convert them back into a FUZ file, as the XWM files I used are compatible (and it doesn't matter anyways).

      NOTE: Alternatively, you can try to use XEdit to trace back the ID of the voice lines. Personally I found this even more confusing and time consuming than just using guess-and-check (audio management is not one of XEdit's strengths), but its still an option.

    when wastelanders came out the robots chats now.. since the game update broke your mod..

      Hmm, it's possible that they regenerated or reorganized all the voice files since they added so many new ones.

      I'll take a look later when I get around to trying Wastelanders for real. I tried the PTR and wasn't super impressed. I also haven't a clue how I'd get the budget for those quest stations at my CAMP since I overcapped my budget by more than 3x.

      I am also having the same problem, was working fine before wastelanders. I also use the mod that mutes all vendors and that also stopped working, don't know if that helps you troubleshoot at all. Good luck, I hope you can fix it, I removed my scrapbots because they never shut up and without your mod working I cannot stand to have them in my camp.

      Yep, Wastelanders definitely broke it. On the plus side, now that he talks again, I'm spending less time wasting time in my Camp and more time enjoying the new content. Hope it's a quick & easy fix!

      I'm guessing one of these two things happened:

      1) They changed the structure for BA2 archives that include voice files and it's failing to load them now and using the default ones instead.
      2) They regenerated all voice lines and the file names changed.

      I don't expect this to be a quick fix either way... Let's hope I'm wrong lol.

    Idk why but Santatron still speak.
    I've try replace the old mod by the lastest version but still the same.

      It's possible I missed some lines I suppose. Can you tell if any of them being muted correctly?

      I'm not sure , i only just still hear him , and i can't know if he have some mute sentence or if it's only a break.

      In the worst case i can write his line and send them here , but they'll be translated like raw cuz i play in french , and even if i can translate them in english they will be a bit different i think (but still near the "original").

      You can just write it in french, I can use the string files to find its english counterpart.

      -Ho ho ho ho , non tout le monde semble être mort , c'est affreux , erreur niveau de joie a un degré catastrophique, redémarrage terminé.
      -Si le cadeau reçu n'est pas satisfaisant , cette unité n'est pas autorisé a effectuer d'échange , merci de contacter le service clientèle de l'atelier d'elfes Robco le plus proche pour plus d'information.
      -Rassemblement des cadeaux, chargement de de la bonne humeur , décompression de la sub-routine terminé , ho ho ho.
      -Cette unité est programmé pour souhaiter de joyeuse fêtes a tout ceux qui croisent son chemin , initialisation , joyeuse fêtes.

      I didn't manage to compete the list , 2 are incomplete , and maybe 1 or 2 are missing.

      Strange... that is most of them. A few questions:

      1) Does the Scavenger Bot get silenced correctly for you?

      2) If possible, could you test changing the language to English and see if the lines are muted? It's possible Bethesda screwed something up in the translations. Wouldn't be the first time.

      Yes Collectron is still silenced.

      Ok i'll try change language.

      Edit : ok it's very strange , i've switch to english version and the collectron is still muted , but santatron still speak , i've also try to remove the mod and download it again , and same thing.

      But since i still have the issue in english , and since it look like other english players can have the mod working , maybe it's an issue on my side , but to be honest i don''t see what cuz i've removed the mod and download it again for try with a fresh version , so yeah , it's strange.

      Are you certain you've got the BA2 archive listed under the correct list in the ini file? That's all I can think of...

    I was using the previous version of the mod and it worked great, but I installed your update and Santa still talks... I keep playing with it but I can't seem to get him to mute unfortunately.

      I haven't played 76 for a while now. If/when I check out the christmas update, I *may* consider doing this *if* his dialog lines annoy me (and they most likely will).

      Because hearing the same 20 quips repeated every 5 seconds with a horrible RNG that causes the same ones to be played more than once in a row is extremely irritating. And to be honest, I find the robot voice very irritating to begin with...

      Don't download the mod if you don't wanna use it. I made this for myself and shared it because I wanted to, not because I had to. =.=

      Imaging me, asking one of my favorite teamed & friended players at my base-CAMP, to
      think-up a name for my cow that's a funny play-on-words related to Star-Wars
      e.g.: "Moo-Lenny Yumfel Cone" , or a comic book character, or whatever they wish.
      So there was trying my best to rename my cow in front of my new in-game friend ( because
      had not "reddit" right ) Again, since it would be via a Mod and not the game itself
      (due to the custom names being user system side, not sent to us from Beth server side)
      Maybe, such a mod to rename CAMP "Actors" visible to all using the exact mod (I mean
      updated version) could work especially if the mod functioned thru SFE and it had it's own
      server(s) with a folder for each CAMP owner using that mod.
      . . .Same goes for custom CAMP "Actor" sound files. That way any CAMP owner on the
      Bethesda server you are on who uses that mod will have it's custom sounds audible to
      you. It would probably be best if post-processing was applied to all sound files prior to
      being accessible by the mod user, to reduce any sudden overly loud parts, like for
      causing jump scares etc.
      . . .BTW, are all the Scavenger Bot's sayings in one continuous sound file ?

      RNG is so well known at this point that I didn't think I needed to write it out. Even people who don't know what the acronym stands for know what it means, i.e. when people say something like "...pray to the RNG gods". Think about it like this... people say "you sound like a broken record" all the time without actually knowing what a "record" is.

      If I thought that the acronym wasn't in common parlance, I would have course have written the whole thing out. I also very much dislike patronization and will usually go out of my way to explain things thoroughly.

      At the same time, I might have come off a bit too strong last night when I responded to this comment. I don't think anyone likes to see the first comment on something they post being a jibe or troll post.

      You're welcome! As for individual lines: they are all in separate sound files, so it wouldn't be very hard to discard only the ones you didn't want to hear.

      I've uploaded the original sound files just now to the Optional Files section. You can use a media player like VLC to listen to them and figure out which one is for which line. Then all you need to do is delete the corresponding blank sound file from this mod to re-enable those voice lines.

      Also "technically" wouldn't it be a mathematical term, not a science term? :P

    Thank you for this mod! I don't even have that bot but listening to its lines over and over again one out of each two visits to random vendor's camp is already quite irritating. Endorsed!
