Folks, please read the description before reporting issues. You need the meshes from the Required Files. This will not work with the vanilla Fallout 76 vault suit. I cannot fix user error.
Hey mate, awesome mod - I'm wondering what file you mean with "Click and drag your mesh file" here:
"BodySlide and Outfit Studio ? No picture here because it's too simple.
Right-click your Outfit Studio .exe in your FO4 folder and create a shortcut on your desktop. Click and drag your mesh file over to the shortcut to load it with OS. Top right of screen, right-click one of the mesh pieces and select Properties There will be a box to select the material file."
I just have ba2 files and the xml one of my CBBE Preset, what file do I need to convert (and with which tool?) to make it accessible in OutfitStudio?
this one's not super important, but when i first installed tis, there was some nice vault booty on my blue hexa vault suit (as seen in your pictures). the latest patch came out and i reinstalled this mod and the other required mod and now it looks like the normal vault suit.is this particular mod the one with the nice figure and the curves? i'm simply using the cloudy01 method of installation. thanks!
I am using my own custom CBBE meshes in my photos, not the ones from the required mod. I have that mod listed as a requirement so those not using CBBE can have a simple Plug-n-Play with this mod. I gave detailed instructions in the description on how to get your own FO4 CBBE meshes to work in FO76 with these textures.
Come on fellow Nexians, Appalachian Amigos, Amigas,Jumpin'HumanBeans! There is a few dozen downloads of the ProtoVS to date, (no need to add-up every variant),but only 8 endorsements. Let's shownitronizer (person's actual name isZulfa)

I know there's a delay of at least 1 day for those of use who use, like myself, the Nexus "Auto pop-up endorsement select"feature - butpleaserealize that a pop-up blocker could cause it to never appear. "If you generated your mesh initially in BodySlide, rename it's corresponding .tri file to foutfit.tri"
Where do I find this file? and then where do i place it?
EDIT: Nevermind I'm dumb, the .tri file is in the same folder where I got my vault suit mesh in my fallout 4 folder. EDIT 2: Can't get my custom tri file to work I've followed your instructions as best I could :( EDIT 3: OK I finally figured it out. It's not mentioned in the description but in very first line in the Vault suit Nifskope file you've got to set the correct path to the .tri file. Mines was still using the path from my fallout 4 directory Thanks for a great mod!
Thank you for porting this awesome mod! Your instructions on nifskope are very clear and I'm inspired to tackle importing from cbbe/fo4 but in the meantime your instruction on downloading the fo4 vault suit mod first or "These will not work for the vanilla Fallout 76 vault suit mesh..." has me a little confused. I'm using the ba2 method for modding at the moment and from what I gleaned from your instructions is that I need merely to install the fo4 vault suit ba2 and then install your proto vault suit ba2 next in the fallout76custom.ini load order. Is this correct? Please forgive my ignorance, I am not a programmer by any means, I'm asking for clarification because I really want to run this mod. Thank you for your time and have a great day!
Doesn't matter what order you place them in your ini. This mod is textures only, that mod is meshes only. If you want to make absolutely sure, you can place ProtoVaultSuit after FO4VaultSuit.
