THANK YOU! Makes this playable on my shitty uni laptop :D

Also kind of like the desolate vibe it gives the Wasteland, sort of reminds me of the classic Fallouts

That's already a thing. "NoPlants" is the one you're looking for

I tried the NoPlants, amazing clean views but collisions makes me wants the trees back to navigate around them. So with trees and zero non-harvestable plants would be my dream version. And thanks for the insane XP raids in case you are the same MrsBlobby.

    Thanks

I've added a NoPlantsWithTrees and NoPlantsNoLODWithTrees option. Seemed simple enough to sort out without hours of work. I will note that I only re-added upright trees. Things along the lines of small stumps, tree roots, piles of dead trees (primarily seen in the Cranberry Bog), etc are still gone. I know their "tree status" is a bit debatable, but I went with the route that added the least amount of clutter

and yeah, I also have the XP raid stuff going on at times. I'm the same person

Hey, I've added an option for this. It's NoPlantsWithTrees and NoPlantsNoLODWithTrees

I like the idea, but would it be possible to only remove plants but not the tree trunks (with no leaves) to make them look like dead trees.
That would make a real global desolated world.

I could look into it for some separate desolate wasteland-esque mod, perhaps. It doesn't quite fit into the scope of a performance-improving mod (at least, I'd rather not make even more different versions of this mod for different types of preferences in terms of what the player can see), but the idea's not off the table entirely

Thx for your reply, will keep your mod for now, but as soon as you make it that way, i'll switch!

I'm using another mod that removes leaves from trees along with the NoLOD version and it's awesome!

Could you please do a version that just removes tree LODs but keeps buildings and other objects.

That was the original intent, but unfortunately, there's no way to approach this without a lot of manual work. There are over 3000 LOD meshes, and they use incredibly generic names, so there's no way for me to easily know or search which LOD mesh contains trees. The sub-meshes in these files also use super generic names, so no way to narrow things down in that way either. I'd have to manually review over 3000 files 1 by 1, to put it shortly. The actual editing portion is also quite time-consuming. I tried to get started on it at some point, and I got 3-5 meshes done in the span of 25-30 minutes

Awesome idea but when using the NoPlantsNoLOD version, foliage on the ground that's been deleted is stealth boy invisible and I get a weird visual glitch.

I'm currently using the NoLOD version and have no issues.

No fooling. This gives a whole new desolation feel to the game, in addition to the frame :) . Love it! Thanks for all the good work.
