If understood correctly what glasses you're talking about, then I can't see why would they need any fix. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Black-rim_glasses_(Fallout_76)
doesn‘t work for me. every other mod does, don‘t know why this one doesn‘t. what more do i need to do than pasting the .ba2 in the data folder and adding Shades.ba2 to Archive2List? weird.
Is this doable with the patrolman sunglasses? I use them and would love something like this for them. Thanks for this mod anyway! Will probably use it.
The Atom Shop Rayban's would be dope too. Those things are kinda weird... in some lighting modes, you can see the PC's face silhouette through them but for the most part it's bright shining white at all times. I'll be using these too probably, and the Aviators -- as soon as you do! hahaha cheers <3
Oh, wow. Yeah, I'd be more than happy to test and let you know if they work. The set you modded, patrolman aviators, and the atom rayban's are my favorite.
Looks like it at least did something. It changed the lenses purple but they're not anymore translucent than they were before unfortunately. Still looks pretty cool haha
Hey! It does look a lot better. Right when I loaded up, the lighting was perfect and I could see the eyes through them pretty good. About perfect with how they'd look in some nice dark lens wayfarers. However, when I went to grab some shots, the light of day was a bit different, I've been trying to catch it at the right moment since and it's been very elusive hahaha. I'm not sure how the textures work - if the lens is like a scratchy white or if the normal map is textured white? I'm wondering if you made it a more clear or black texture, if it'd be easier to see through when light is hitting them? I could have the wrong idea on how they made these though. When the lighting is just right, they're perfect. Not too clear, not too opaque. Thanks again!
Yes, I've noticed all this too. Btw I've just replaced some free-to-play glasses with a model of these to be able to test them haha. I don't know how I haven't think about this from the start. Anyway, I digress. I will keep working on these, since while it looks better I'm not happy with how they currently look at all. So just stay tuned for updates.
Oh man, I totally spaced on that too hahaha but that's excellent news! I'm definitely stoked to see where you take it. Would be cool if we could get rid of the roughness in the texture so they just look like smooth lenses. I mean, if you just found them in the world, sure but you have to make these things at a bench, they should have new lenses. I tried my hand at it a couple months ago but for whatever reason, I can't get my retextures to actually load. I tried doing a black retexture of the western duster and cowboy hat... aaand failed miserably! hahaha sooo... My guess is my format isn't saving properly in PS since I'm using CS5. Rigell tried to help me with it and for the most part, I got everything I needed to do it except for the plug-in. Moral of the story: I very much appreciate what you're doing here.
I've already solved that problem and currently testing the results. So far it look pretty nice. I will upload this new version later today. Edit: Updated. Check out new pics.
Yeahhh, I was going to say. I looked at them in game and noticed there isn't much in the way of reflection/transparency so I took a look at the actual texture... I'm grateful with at least having two nice pairs to switch between. And they're beautiful :')
Thanks Maxim, I always wear sunglasses outside, even when slightly overcast. When that day's UV index forecast is high, etc, I'll wear a kind-of Auzzie-style sun hat, or at least a baseball cap. So, I always feel like putting'em on my Virginian Venturer. The problem used to be; I didn't like the "aloofness" of wearing mirrored sunglasses and didn't want my character being all like… "Look at me, I'm a hipster, an' y'all can't see these devilish eyes…" …I realize they're just game avatars (I miss that reference from my computer days in the early 80's), but I want friends or new in-game acquaintances to sorta see my eyes when I'm wearing sunglasses and what they convey when any expressions are made. That reminds me - it would be nice to have in.F76, the feature available in F4through mod(s), to access many facial expressions using hotkeys & "MCM/ModConfigurationMenu" (incl. multiple expressions in a row, I think).
Thanks again for your high quality, clever, and very useful mods. Thank you also for your helpfulness responding in kind to courteous members and providing advice in the posts areas of other mods & other forums.
