Thank you, my friend. I've been waiting and hoping for a long time that someone would put this in order. The colorful cartoon and "funny" 76 always made me sick. A carefree style of play is still, in my opinion, not for him with such a dark past. But I liked the game. Now everything will be even better and I like it more. You're the best!
What kinds of textures does this mod touch so far? I'm curious about if it affects particle and fog fx textures, relfection cubemaps, water textures, hair tone textures. I'm sure it probably doesnt affect the last one or 2nd one but I'd like to double check first.
also does it NEED Age Of Nature/Solstice? I like how those 2 mods look but don't like certain locations such as cranberry bog having tons of trees it shouldn't have
AOS/AON are focused on nature. you could probably use one without the other without problems if you want, but ground textures and trees will be unchanged
OH and my age of nature brings the art style closer to the basegame. i tried to bring the flora closer to vanilla while enhancing it (cranbog will have vanilla grass color)

I hope this mod does not conflict with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/2015 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/1724 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/1471 or you have clean glass textures inside your mod?
This mod removes texture/color from at least 2 camp items that I've noticed: the gas awning (misc. structure) should be mostly red and the modern kitchen set (floor and wall decor) should be bright aqua blue. I'd love to use it for the other improvements but the world not seeing camp items in their full glory irks me too much. Mind taking a look to see if there's a quick fix?
i desaturated those to be a bit more realistic. you can open up the file in BSArch and find the textures and delete em if you want em to be the vanilla style
This is really quite amazing! The game looks so much better with less saturated textures, changes the whole feeling of the game turning it into something more fitting a post apocalyptic world.
I finally tried this. Amazing work on so many textures. As stated below already, the real standout is how much better Watoga looks. The Classic feel overall is why I'm going to use these textures. So, thanks!
My suggestion though is that you might create at least one other packaged version that removes textures that get into the 10-20 MB range in size. I did this and it runs relatively well on my old potato pc with a GTX 1070.
good to hear! glad you're a fan of the style whenver i get back into 76 i'll definitely do that. i had initially planned to rework tons of clutter textures as well. the fusion core is one of my hand painted textures as well as the new do not enter sign
What resolution are most of the textures? I really want a retexture mod but the ones I used to use were like 4k and think they really slow down the loading so I uninstalled them and most of the default textures are terrible lol. Hopefully its like 1-2k textures 😊
Very nice! Been using it for about a week and really like the different look it gives the game. Went to Watoga and noticed all the buildings weren't bright af colors, really like it. Endorsed 🙂
ty! i tried to keep the biomes intact and desaturate buildings and corporate stuff while keeping pickups vibrant. i like watoga being this corporate depressing shell town that shows how corporate things became before the war
