Are there any plans to update this mod with the other drop/death bags that were added through the Atomic Shop since this mod launched?
It works fine but it is now bypassed by using bag skins.

You can stand on top of the balloons, this means they are solid. Is it possible to remove the physics from them. I just had one of those bags that you can never access the contents of (and thus cant even get rid of by emptying them) in the middle of a doorway, efectivly blocking me access to the Whitesprings station.

+1 for removing collisions... if possible

Can't edit Fallout 76 meshes until Nifskope updates. The collision of the "bag" is inherited by whatever mesh you replace it with. Just use your PA and deploy it on the other side of the balloons then hop into the armor to teleport to the other side.

The glow doesn't seem to work, or do I need to use files besides the .ba2?

The files I gave lelandcheung look dimmer than the photos I posted. I had to bring the intensity down to get rid of the streaking you see. I use these same files and they DO work in loose files form. Try that and see. Just remember: they do glow but they are not a light source (i.e. light up things around them)

ADDED: the two files have different ba2 names, make sure you are only using the glowing file's name in your ini

There is no glowing file name for the ba2 file, just a single ba2 file named BalloonsNotBags.ba2

I haven't yet tested this in game so can't comment on if it glows or not.

What I did was download the glow file, put the BalloonsNotBags.ba2 into my Data folder (I ignored all the other files/folders in the zip), and added the .ba2 to my custom.ini.
There is no glow whatsoever, but I got the balloon model.

Just tested this in the game, and the balloons aren't rendering properly - they don't glow, they aren't flat coloured like regular balloons, they just look obviously not right. This is how they look in my game.

the balloons are a weird flat goldish color, and not textured like balloons, doesn't look right at all

Yeah, ok folks, calm down. I gave the files to leland in loose form and he didn't package them right in the ba2. He probably isn't aware the textures need to be packaged into a separate ba2 designed for .dds format files. I am using them in loose form and they work perfectly fine.

Nobody was uncalm :P just reporting the issue.

Thanks to both of you getting on top of this!

      Yeah it's perfect now!

Although (just a suggestion not complaining) if the physics could be turned off so we could walk through them instead of them blocking doors, that would be awesome!

Sorry for the late reply, but there is currently nothing we can do with the collision because we can not directly edit the meshes with current software. The collision is part of the mesh and whatever you replace your bag with will inherit that objects collision.

Could we get a version of this for meat piles and robot piles? I dont need this for bags but would love it for piles... also, treasure mounds would be sweet.

I really need to get a newer screenshot for the glow, because I had turned it's intensity down since taking that one.

Separate question, probably @ThatSpartacusGuy: Is the scale of this "easily" modified? I'd like something much taller, as to perhaps allow looting junk after having fallen into a fissure site? (so about 3-4 times as large?)
Or maybe just a taller different object altogether, like a flagpole?

This mesh cannot be opened by editors, so the answer would be no on scaling.

@GSsuxThere is another mod that has a ton of different replacements for the bags, one is a lamp post that may be what you wanted, here is the link https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/337?tab=description

If have problem balloon looking brown color

You need to separate to mesh.ba2 and texture.ba2

    Then it's work perfect

    or just using mod manager

I have a working glow map for this if the author is interested (glow strength is easily adjustable):

I would really like this, if you could post your own version that would be great!
It would also be great if ONLY your own balloons glowed but I'm guessing that would require an esp for a new object, so its probably not possible.
