   I'm not quite sure what the point of this mod is? If I don't want to use the map, I could just...not use the map?

      Absolutely true! This mod's purpose is threefold:
      
      1. Certain features, such as the settings, social, and challenges menus, are only accessible via the map screen, meaning you're forced to see the map and your location if you want to use those features while undertaking this sort of challenge.
      2. Having this installed means there's no temptation to cheat on your own rules and "just take one quick peek".
      3. ...I wanted to see if it was possible, and I don't have the artistic ability for anything more complex!
