i must be doing something wrong, i extrat a .ba file edit the json, then repack it, but it doesnt work :(, i even re-edit to the same values and didnt work :(
Yeah this isn't working for a even a simple pipboy background swap... I can download from backgrounds the nexus put the archive line in custom and they work, However this tool wont work..
EDIT: So I've figured a couple things out.. This tool might actually be fine... My Pipboy Background wont work nor will a couple others on the Nexus, HOWEVER, one that does take effect is structured differently... Mine is XXX\xxxx\xxxx\pipboyscreen.dds. One that works is structured in Archive2 as XXX/xxxx/xxxx/pipboyscreen.dds. I'm not too entirely sure how to get this structuring though.
EDIT 2: After further testing, I've come to the conclusion that i just have no F***ing idea what I'm doing apparently.. None of the batch compressors, this, Archive2 or Baka will change the pipboy background for me.... I make sure its in DDS and not general, I add the mod name to custom.ini/ResourceIndexFileList.. NOTHIN... The file structure is properly spelled out. Hell I even exported and repacked a working background mod with its file structure and it wouldn't work for me.. Clearly I'm the problem, not the tools.. I'll get this sh*t figured out eventually
So when I go and Create Archive, I am met with an unknown error followed by a directory pointing to a specific .dds file. What is going on. All I did was grayscale it.
GOOD SHEESH! i repacked alot of texture mods with 0% compression alot of textures runs so much better as is cpu limited game holy, can u tell me the cons of lower compression (gpu memory, ram, etc)?, i presume thats why the old cod mw (200gb +) and runs so well? why did Bethesda pick compression level 6 as default? sorry for all the questions, do I need to repack after this update for gains? <3 <3 anyone can answer who sees this, thank you!
I'm having a problem with running the app. I don't receive the How to Fix the "Windows Cannot Access the Specified Device, Path or File" Error, instead it's a "Windows Security>App & browser control>Reputation-based protection settings" problem for me. The actual problem setting is under "Potentially unwanted app blocking", where it's either on/off, block apps, or block apps downloading. I receive a Windows pop-up telling me not to run the app and there is no other option but to close the notification. Even if I turn off the settings, I still can not run it. It's like the security feature does not work. Is there another way I can start up the program to get it to work? Administrator permission doesn't give me the ability to run it either.
