No issues with latest patch, current config changes Patch 12 (updated Aug 20 2019)
Due to the 1024 character limit, you can rename the mod to anything you wish and it will have no impact to its use. Please add the mod after the 'sResourceIndexFileList' in your ini as shown in the example below.
Replace <mod> with the name of the included mod or whatever you have renamed it to.
This is my favorite glowing mod, thank you so much for it. I love that the glow isn't so aggressive that it ruins the textures, but that it's very noticeable. It makes it visually pleasing and also a great QoL mod for someone unobservant like me XD
I've updated the last config changes Patch 9 (updated May 7) and included the plant_glow.ba2 into the data folder but still no glow after patch 9. Here is a debug copy of my archive list.
The only thing I can think of is perhaps you are using a different user from where the config is or there is something in your custom config that is breaking the glow effects.
This is my exact custom, unaltered. Obviously I have somethings that you will not but I have no issues with it.
So the only way I have been able to recreate this is under 1 condition.
The line length has a maximum limit of I believe 1024 characters... so if you have a whole mess of mods anything beyond that character limit will render them unloaded.
[FIX] I was able to fix this. The file I put into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda.net Launcher\games\Fallout76\Data" was plant_glow.ba2 but the falloutcustom.ini file refers to a "plant_glow-1.9.3.ba2"
Changing the name in the data folder from "plant_glow.ba2" to "plant_glow-1.9.3.ba2" fixed it
With the constant updates, and the need to add more and more of the Bethesda "SeventySix" files, is there any way to overcome this 1024 limit? Any more updates, and there will be no room left for the mods. Just curious. Perhaps we can rename the mods like "plant_glow.ba2" to something shorter like "pg.ba2" or will this prevent the mod from working?
Hiokagau007, Regarding your saying:"You can rename the ba2 files to anything"... For example I renamed em: (sorry for the rename dropping the "a" from oka) plant_glow.ba2———>okPG.ba2 mound2chest.ba2——>okM2C.ba2. ore_glow.ba2————>okOG.ba2 Reflectively,BorderXer
hello :) usually if i see anyones load orders ill try and find the mods based off the .ba2s (kinda dumb since they can name it whatever they want and often the mod names and .ba2s are different. ive been trying to find whatever mods UI_overhaul_1.9.8.ba2, nomore_glow-1.0.1.ba2 and Glowpedia_1.8.2.ba2 are. love to hear back from ya
Is there any way to increase the brightness? Some plants ( Gourds ) are still hard to see unless you know where to look ( which defeats the purpose of a glow mod IMHO ).
hi, how can i install this? do i have to paste this text, SeventySix - 00UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 01UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 00UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 01UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 00UpdateTextures.ba2, SeventySix - 01UpdateTextures.ba2, SeventySix - MeshesExtra.ba2, SeventySix - GeneratedMeshes.ba2, SeventySix - 02UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 03UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 04UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 02UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 03UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 04UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 02UpdateTextures.ba2, SeventySix - 03UpdateTextures.ba2, SeventySix - 04UpdateTextures.ba2, and then put the .ba plants glow? or i just have to put the .ba plants glow and not the other text?
