To fix the neck seam issue you need to adjust Jen's face diffuse texture to have the same color as Sofia. That is 0054eb65_d.dds. That texture holds the information on which skin tone was used in the CK for the character in regards to the face. The body just loads with the skin tone applied but to save on system resources all color overlay customization to the face is stored in the textures. You could just use Sofia's diffuse texture. Both ladies have no makeup or scars so there wont be any drastic differences, just a slightly darker skin tone.

I tried what you said about using Sofia's diffuse textures but nothing changed. I even install all Sofia's texture files but the neck and body remain the same. Thanks for the advise, it was worth to try. If you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know. I really want to get that fixed. I appreciated that you took your time to help me out either way.

Wow cool, friend. Thank you for your work.
A small wish: can you make more face options? Would it be quite impudent of me to ask you to make a mod with the face of Maggie Williams?)

I've try it but it doesn't work yet. There is a string in the nif file that cause conflicts in game and doesn't make it compatible with Sofia's files. She wont display properly, and when she does the hair mesh seems to be attached to the moon. Since I don't know what strings purpose are I cant tell which to remove or replace so I havnt bothered anymore. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about the game files could figure out. Without a tool kit or creation kit, is really hard for me to grasp what's going on.

Hello Rolandmods. What program did you use or what plugin in the 3D model program did you use to edit the mesh file? There are two addons for Blender, but they cannot export properly for FO76 nif format. When I used the hex editor it didn't turn out well either. The result is always the same. In the game, the character of Sofia is not visible after the modified files. What is your process for editing? Thank you for the tip. I worked with the original FO76 files. But I'm thinking of converting the Piper from F4 to F76. That is, her visage for some character.

I dint edit the meshes. I just look for an NPC face Id like and extract the meshes and textures and replace the other NPC. I havnt bothered to edit any meshes so far. Piper is my favorite companion in FO4, it would be a nice mod. Beware though, one of my mods was taken down because I used music from another fallout game. I doubt it will apply to a face mesh but who knows. In any case make it look like you edited the mesh yourself instead of using FO4 meshes.

I understand. But how did you create it? Did you rename the nif file Jen to Sofia? ID number of this file? That doesn't work for me. The character Sofia is not visible in the game.

I renamed the Jen's ID mesh and texture files with the Sofia's. Of course you need to do the quest to find Sofia in order to see her on your camp, then place her panel from the camp construction menu. I'm not sure what exactly is the problem you are having. Make sure that the nif files have the exact ID of the one you are replacing. Here you can find the ID of most NPC. All the meshes and textures of each NPC are named with their IDs.  https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_76_characters

Interesting information, thank you. I'll try to figure out why this procedure isn't working for me.

      1. This is a bootleg that means nothing to me. It still maintains Daguerre's voice and name. Not even close to the real deal.
      2. Nothing enjoyable about Jen is translated here. It's missing all heart. It's missing all emotion. It's missing everything.
      3. "Boy"????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I'm offended by the notion of being perceived as a man. Or as straight, for that matter.

      To repeat myself:
This is meaningless to me. This is not Jen. This is merely an abomination.

      -Sincerely, JenSimp from Reddit

Interesting. Hypothetically, could this method be used to replace the Player character presets with other faces?

Probably, if you know where the presets file are. I have no clue where they are, I've been looking for it. But most exiting would be to find the player face and body files. If I could find the player files, we basically would have an NPC editor. I mean, you make your character in game and then take the facegen files to replace any NPC or share your character designs to other players. I'm not sure how it works, maybe the player face files are not on the data folder, since the game is online, those files must be stored somewhere else, maybe on the servers.
