Updated instructions for those having issues with the music not working, to add this mod will also work with Fallout 4, I haven't tested other Bethesda titles but if they load ba2 files for the menu then it should be fairly universal.
This is just.. PERFECT, if you pair this with skip intro and news its just woah. If your music reverts to the pitt, delete the whole line on your fallout.ini in My documents and go to fallout.ini from your game folder and change it there, worked for me.
i may be a year later from this comment but THANK YOU!!! i was about to give up on the music working but this comment made the ini file actually use the song instead of the dlc one. tysm!!!!!
I also recommend making the fallout.ini in the game folder read only to avoid it reverting.
Also unrelated but in case anyone else see's this comment and is interested - I recently used this mod with Fallout 4, it works perfectly with the same setup.
always got the main menu replacer to work, but never the music I don't have a music/special folder and I have no wxm locations so no matter what I do it never changes, but the main menu change is definitely nice ty =)
update, found out you just have to set the fallout76.ini to read only after editing the sMainMenuMusic so the game won't change it every time you restart the game =)
I have the sMainMenuMusic blank in C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76\Fallout76.ini then have the line set in Fallout76\Fallout76.ini instead, perhaps that could be a more permanent solution as it shouldn't overwrite the line again.
I'll get some feedback and update the instructions.
yea for some odd reason my fallout.ini resets once the game is started but if you add the [General] section from the Fallout.ini to the Fallout76custom.ini then follow your instructions to change the sMainMenuMusic it works like a charm =) was messing around with it for a couple of mins and that seems to work for me I have the video and the music playing now

The video does work, but not the music, not any music replacer to be frank.
What do I do wrong?
Could it be that this isn't possible with the Xbox Gamepass PC version?
