Note that when SFE is out of date, chat mod will disable player names. So remove chatmod.bsa from your custom.ini or move the file itself out of the data folder to your desktop until SFE is updated.
A reminder that the microsoft/game pass version is not supported and is unlikely to change in the future. If that changes, it will be noted on here and on the SFE page.
Community specific? The mod page shows the LGBTQIA++ flag, so i guess this chat is for that specific community? I could not find another version for those who are not member of that community?!
Do we know if gamepass compatibility issue is due to the .ini file being named differently; or some other MS shenanigans? I'm able to use SFE and the Perkload Out mod without issue, but this one is indeed not compatible for some reason.
Hi, yeah it's the latest one literally called SegmentedHealthBar https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/2489 . I have 11 mods total loaded via Vortex and it seems to be the only one that doesn't play nicely with this mod.
I switched back to Improved Health Bars which has bug reports and sadly that too doesn't work with Text Chat.
Update: I have it working fine with Keretus's Better Health Bar now (and other mods). My issue was having used Cloudy's Mod Manager previously and well, stuff was all over the place.
Kudos to support for pointing me in the right direction really quickly.
Seriously what an absolute hassle to get this working with all this BS of typing out numerous garbage and it still fails to function after following all these pointless / commands, why did you add all this command crap into this marvellous program only for it not to function at all after doing all that, pointless if no one else follows these / commands to get it to even function, please take this / command garbage out so this can actually work properly, it constantly goes back to asking for the /help then /helpaccept#### only for it to go back to the /help making the whole experience pointless and fails to work even after doing all that garbage, it fails to confirm even though it's showing it has then you go to use the and it returns with use /help BS, so it's frustrating loop of garbage confirmation that FAILS in the END!
works fine for me, you must be doing something wrong, if what you put for help accept in your post is what you typed, there needs to be a space between the /helpaccept and the characters it wants you to use.
I did and it comes back to use /help then fails to work it's a consistent loop that goes nowhere, just get rid of it please so it can work! I do not see a reason why I have to confirm it just to use the mod, it's mundane! Got it working finally had to reinstall it, then did what it needed and works now, but seriously why have a confirmation on a mod just so you can use it, if I download it put it in it should just work!

It's a one time confirmation cut down on people asking the same basic questions over and over again. Also it kinda defeats the claim, well I didn't see the rules I didn't know.
Mod fails to update. I've tried to update through Vortex and manually tried to update to 5.4 but I keep getting the same message in game: You are currently using version 5.0 of the mod please update or you will not be allowed to chat.
I just started playing on pc and downloaded this mod. I think FSE is out of date as of the 26th's patch, though, and I can't get this to work. Is that normal? Do I have to wait for FSE to be updated?

To those moaning about /helpaccept - Jeez, it's not that time-consuming and clearly it is made to combat spam.
Some people will complain the loudest about stuff that is the cheapest (ie. free).
I use https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/368 by Keretus.

A google search came up with nothing... and I search "Hud" and "Menu" on Nexus and still couldn't figure it out.
