Overview

This mod is a work in progress and so far replaces Classic Radio with 70 songs from the 50s and 60s. I did my best to keep them as raider-themed as possible, tho I'm limited by what's available on archive.org and of course the themes of the times back then. Some songs are rather tongue-in-cheek, a few are actually a bit messed up, some are in there because they are whacky enough, and a minor number is just filler.

Not all tracks from Classic Radio have been replaced, yet. If that doesn't bother you, pick the normal version. If you don't want to have to listen to any of them, pick the alternative version in the download section. The alternative version silences all remaining tracks from Classic Radio, resulting in a few long pauses.

Current Goal and future Plans
Right now I'm working on finding short tracks to replace the last files with. I'm also in the process of writing lines for the two hosts.

Ultimately I want to provide two versions: one with and one without hosts, since the constant repetition of any host gets annoying relatively fast, no matter how good the writing. I'm aiming to use static and frequency searching sounds in the alternative version where needed.

Known Issues and Limitations

The files that are not replaced yet are very short (30sec up to 1:20min).

Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to simply replace the existing songs with any other song without getting some annoying bugs. If the song is shorter than the one it's replacing you end up with very long pauses. If it's longer, the game will cut it off. So you have to find songs with similar lengths and in some cases, because the original song is 11min long, stuff multiple songs into one audio file and hope the combined time of them all is vaguely the same as the original. Since I'm limited by a theme here, it's hard to find appropriate songs and songs that fit the timing on top of that, resulting in a few pauses of up to 20sec here and there. I'm hoping to fix that in the future.
