New Worlds update changed the name of the main menu song to MUS_Special_MainTheme.xwm After extracting with Archive2, renaming the song, compiling and loading up the game it works again.
Fallout76.ini in the game directory has a main menu song variable that we can change, that "might" work for people without Archive2 access (change it to "MUS_Special_BOS_MainTheme.xwm" as that is the old name the mod uses.
Sometimes I just don't get how this stuff works. Been modding forever, and this worked, with the custom ini tweak, just last night. But this morning, its back to normal and cant get to work again.
I added this to FO76 Quick Configuration to make it easier but basically they renamed the intro music file *again* so we need to tell the game which file to use.
Add this to your Fallout76Custom.ini: [General] sMainMenuMusic=Data\Music\Special\MUS_Special_BOS_MainTheme.xwm
Gamepass Version - what worked for me was following Soulflare3's post but also adding the mod Zethin64's mod in the post in the thread (otherwise it plays after the BoS music). Then using Quick Configurator, I added to Project76Custom.ini under Custom Tweaks:
1) Download the selected mod version 2) Extract the .ba2 file in the data folder. 3) Make the following .ini changes Fallout76Custom.ini Add [General] sMainMenuMusic=Data\Music\Special\MUS_Special_BOS_MainTheme.xwm Add or Modify sResourceArchive2List = Country Roads - COPILOT.ba2 **NOTE - FILENAME WILL BE THE NAME OF YOUR VERSION, THIS IS JUST THE ONE I LIKE**
To anyone trying to get this to work, if you followed the ini instructions in the comments its most likely working - it just plays after the BOS theme plays for about 50 seconds.
No matter what I do, I CANNOT get this to work on Steam. I've tried every ini change I could find, and even tried forcing the song directly into the SeventySix files. I have no idea why, and I'm very close to giving up. I just want Country Roads to greet me when I open the game. :C

Add this to your Fallout76Custom.ini:
[General]
sMainMenuMusic=Data\Music\Special\MUS_Special_BOS_MainTheme.xwm
[General]
sIntroSequence = BGSLogo4k.bk2
uMainMenuDelayBeforeAllowSkip = 1
sMainMenuMusic=Data\Music\Special\MUS_Special_BOS_MainTheme.xwm
I installed this mod and Zethin64's reference mod with Quick Configurator as well.
1) Download the selected mod version
2) Extract the .ba2 file in the data folder.
3) Make the following .ini changes
Fallout76Custom.ini
Add
[General]
sMainMenuMusic=Data\Music\Special\MUS_Special_BOS_MainTheme.xwm
Add or Modify
sResourceArchive2List = Country Roads - COPILOT.ba2
**NOTE - FILENAME WILL BE THE NAME OF YOUR VERSION, THIS IS JUST THE ONE I LIKE**
Cheers
