This mod drives me nuts... I just cant find the bobbleheads with it... the range of the beeping is so wide and there's hardly difference in sound as people say... My Peception is high (at 17) but I'm just not finding them.. maybe they all spawn inside the walls for me, but I'm uninstalling it.

For future v ersions please use a more noticable sound system, like the geiger counter ticker or so... the more rapid the ticks.. the closer you are.

You might try combining it with the 3D sound mod another user posted.

I can't seem to get this mod to work, I have percepti bobbles equipped, Ive added both ba2 files and put "sResourceArchive2List = BobbleBeeper.ba2, BobbleBeeper-SonicGenerator" into my fallout76custom.ini but its not working.

If this mod gets attention from the creator again (to fix the bobble stands emitting noise, and fix the magazine version), I wonder if it's possible to make individual bobbleheads emit different noises?

I'd love to see the Leader bobbleheads have a different noise than the others. That way I know I should put the effort in to get it.

I would too but a lot of these will require hacky workarounds. I do not think that I can "fix" the bobblehead stand at all

Thanks for letting us know! I remember standing next to my bobbles and just...really underappreciating how easily I had retrieved them due to the 28 x beeping of a stand full of bobbles lol. Eh, there's limitations to everything. Thanks for the great mod :)

hello, i know this is stupid but I'm a little confused about how it works, does it get louder the closer you get. how can you discern where it is?

Best used with surround sound headphones, you literally hear the direction it is and the closer you get the louder the sound

This mod is awesome. The distance at which this mod notifies you has helped me find so many more bobbleheads. Thank you for making this mod! Too bad it's a PITA to get magazines to work right.

can you please give an estimated date for the magazines version?
and can you make a "sugar bomb" version?

I can confirm the same, magazines are not emitting a noise and are unattainable

Cool idea and works well enough, but I did have to uninstall because I spend quite a bit of time vendor hopping and having everyones bobblehead stands triggering triggered me.

I will be keeping an eye on this mod though incase that issue gets resolved / is resolvable.

Great mod, thank you ! I am currently trying another sound than default one because when near CAMPS with display cases for boobleheads it can sometimes be really annoying ( they all beep at once, very loudy and repititvely, as... Some chimiotherapy injection system at the hospital...! )
As also modding myself, I gave some thought about any way to prevent this but right now I have just no idea !
Of course I could re-save the audio file at a lower volume and I finally might do that but sadly that's all I can imagine, as accessing to .esm / .esp would definitely be a serious risk to be banned - and I guess it's fair as accessing these datas would allow pretty much all cheats - not only bolding some objects as most mods on Nexus - ...And the game is yet plagued with things such as hacked weapons... Whatever, thank you for having had the idea for this one !

The only way would be to edit mod the esm, and at that point this mod is irrelevant cuz you could just add the sounds on there

I have to agree with this, I have a bobble head case at my camp and the sound was actually too loud for me to hear a conversation I had with my ally for a quest. I do like that this mod is available bc it frees up a perk card slot.

I was also thinking of any way to prevent this from occurring. I'm wondering if something like SFE could be of use. Maybe have something in the mod that detects if a bobble head display case is present so it disables the sound or maybe there's a way to detect ownership of the bobble heads and disable that way. I don't know, I'm just spit balling ideas here.

I do look forward to a magazine version of this mod but I know I'd have the same issue since I have magazine display cases as well.

Can the anchor points of the bobble-head stand be changed from the stand .nif? If so it would be a matter of changing the anchor point to a few hundreds of meters below. It would make the bobble-head model not visible on stands but would fix this side effect.

      That's an excellent idea!
Removing the stand from your own camp is easy enough, but other peoples camps you're stuck with.

edit: Also, the magazines on display at my camp aren't emitting any noise? I will say though, I haven't come across any magazines in the world yet since I just installed the mod, so maybe the magazine mod function is just not working. But if it is working, something is different about magazines vs bobbleheads.
edit2: magazines are not working, and can't be picked up
