i do not own fallout 76 but i thank this mod as i tweaked it to work for fo4 (all i did was rename the file), literally sniper scope overlay replacement mod isnt one that suits me lol
will reinstall it again once i eventually get fo76
just something I realized using this mod. The recon scope has black and very thin line so it can be difficult at some time to see the reticle. Could it be possible to add a red reticle at the center like the other scope just to gave a better view?

Hi archer7373. Thank you for added that follow-up. (which I think is what is the reason behind most posts similar to: "Can we get an update for this..it doesn't work with the latest patch")
InSpecific Both lines in the "Fallout 76" install folder file Fallout76custom.ini: These lines must have no more that 1024 characters (including spaces or other chars) (use a text edit tool like Notepad++
sResourceIndexFileList= and sResourceArchive2List=
As I understand it, there is a modification (system files registry edit) in Windows that will allow that 1024 to be vastly expanded. I don't have the time to search it at the moment. Someone else please jump in with these steps or URL to the page that shows how it is done and/or provides a batch file that does the registry edit.
Just a heads up, you should be able to get it working again by renaming it to "DefaultScopeMenu." Not sure why they changed the name, but as far as I can tell that's the only thing they changed and the reason why it stopped working.
I should've specified, you have to rename the .swf file itself from "ScopeMenu" to "defaultScopeMenu." The name of the archive doesn't actually matter as long as it's in your config.

This mod is offered as-is and no new/additional scopes requests will be available.

I renamed "ModernScopes" in both the data folder and my ini to "DefaultScopeMenu" but no change.
I tried doing it with BAE, but I just can't seem to get it
also, is it 'defaultScopeMenu' or 'DefaultScopeMenu'? not sure if the capital 'D' in 'Default' is important or not...
