Hello everyone. With permission from the original author, Zeyphir, I bring Modern Scope Reticles to Fallout 76.

This mod is offered as-is and no new/additional scopes requests will be available.

    News/Changelog
    28/11/18: Initial upload
    23/02/19: Long due update to v 0.2. Should work with FO76 v1.0.6.0

Scopes are nice, but what about red dot/circle optics? The dots are enormous in this game, would love to see them maybe getting added tot his?

    Thanks for your work!

just something I realized using this mod. The recon scope has black and very thin line so it can be difficult at some time to see the reticle. Could it be possible to add a red reticle at the center like the other scope just to gave a better view?

Amazing. It look so nice. Me playing chameleon so not being able to play with reflex sight, is a major plus.

      Hi archer7373.
Thank you for added that follow-up.
( which I think is what is the reason behind most posts similar to :
"Can we get an update for this..it doesn't work with the latest patch" )

      In Specific
Both lines in the "Fallout 76" install folder file Fallout76custom.ini :
These lines must have no more that 1024 characters ( including spaces or other chars )
(use a text edit tool like Notepad++

      sResourceIndexFileList=
      and
      sResourceArchive2List=

As I understand it, there is a modification (system files registry edit) in Windows that
will allow that 1024 to be vastly expanded. I don't have the time to search it at the
moment.  Someone else please jump in with these steps or URL to the page that
shows how it is done and / or provides a batch file that does the registry edit.

Just a heads up, you should be able to get it working again by renaming it to "DefaultScopeMenu." Not sure why they changed the name, but as far as I can tell that's the only thing they changed and the reason why it stopped working.

      Hmmmm....not working for me.

I renamed "ModernScopes" in both the data folder and my ini to "DefaultScopeMenu" but no change.

I should've specified, you have to rename the .swf file itself from "ScopeMenu" to "defaultScopeMenu." The name of the archive doesn't actually matter as long as it's in your config.

Ok, if you don't mind my asking how do you rename the swf file?

I tried doing it with BAE, but I just can't seem to get it

i can 'unpack' and alter the .swf name, but i'm at a loss as how to repack and save the .ba2 file with the changed .swf name inside it.

also, is it 'defaultScopeMenu' or 'DefaultScopeMenu'? not sure if the capital 'D' in 'Default' is important or not...

Sorry for the really long delay. I updated the files and that should fix the problem. Please report if you have any other problem.

Do you know which program was used to make these textures? It appears that they are a flash file.

Edit: should have read posts before commenting

Both the loose files and the BA2 versions come in corrupted zip folders. Please reupload them as i am very eager to use this mod!
