Hi, I think there is more to be gained from the "Ultra". However, since there are fewer textures changed in the first place, the difference will not be significant.
I glad to see another tex optomization mod from you, thanks gods same one actualy took for that! only one question left - can you beat anoing shining textures?
Little confused here, but if you say it will improve the performance without the graphics being sacrificed too much, I'll give it a go. But just thinking a split screen vid with an FPS counter (old/new) would help, if anything give more of an understanding of how much improvement one can expect.
It doesn't reduce the diffuse map size at all, so the graphics quality remains the same and the performance improves a bit.
Ok, so I agree with the last part here, the performance should improve when you reduce the size of some textures. But as I understood from your mod's description, it does reduce the size of normal maps, lighting maps and reflection maps to the size of the diffuse map, which in turn should reduce the overall picture quality drastically. I'm a bit confused here, can you please elaborate on how that supposed to actually work?
Hi, Thank for pointing out. This was a poorly written description, my writing was not good. Strictly, it will be degraded because the data has been decimated. However, I didn't feel any deterioration unless the N/L/R map was below the diffuse map. (In HD resolution) I prepared three comparison images to convey that. I'll fix the description.
Thanks for clarification!! I see where you were coming from, no perceptible loss in quality is something I didn't think about initially. I guess that has something to do with all the high-def textures I make :D

All the optimizations are doing in this mod are covered in TexLite2K.

Размер файлов текстур будет уменьшен.
Однако качество (внешний вид) текстуры не ухудшится.
shining textures...
The explanation of this mod was inadequate.
This mod is not expected to improve performance dramatically.
"This will give you a slight performance increase without any perceptible loss of graphics quality. (It is better than doing nothing)."
There are not many textures changed in this mod.(105 textures)
Most of them are rocks(in Landscape).
I'll work on revamping the description!
