   Everyone having trouble getting this wo work, some tips:
   - check that "OiledPowerArmor.ba2" is in your Fallout76\Data directory and about 120KB in size
   - check that "Documents\My Games\Fallout 76\Fallout76Custom.ini" contains "sResourceArchive2List=OiledPowerArmor.ba2" under [Archive] section
   - this mod does not mute power armor noises, it only removes the high pitched squeaks from some audio files
   - if you are using any other mods that modify power armor sounds, make sure they load BEFORE this mod
   
   I have not played a lot of 76 since 2021, but this mod has always worked for me, even the old version works with the latest patch today (2024-05-02).

   So, the mod still isnt working, but there is a temporary fix for those of us who are desperate, just turn off your footsteps in the audio settings.

   This no longer seems to work, which is unfortunate as I was quite overjoyed to find a solution to this issue existed

   This mod is so vital and doesn't seem to be working since the update. You make power armour usable sir we will be eagerly awaiting an update :D.

   Fixed the issue i had on my side and now (Damn vortex sometimes) it's all good and working.
   This mod safed my ears.

    This has been bothering me since I first tried on a suit of power armor. That squeak is so loud to me, that it was impossible to ignore.
