I never understood how even when you get bunker hill as a settlement, this basement isnt part of the settlement even when its slap bang in the middle of it. shame its not part of the workbench so you can go down there and clean it up
Hello. I've just discovered this annoying bug for the very first time, after having played this game for 3,321.1 hours. But thanks to your fix, I was able to get past it. Thank you very much! :)
2020 here, just discovered the unending battle in the Utility Basement after something like 450 hours of playing! Anyway, this mod didn't work for me either but for those of you like myself who really just wanted to "clean this up" and move on to other uncompleted things in the game, there's another way to end the battle and make everything quiet down there. You can then loot and just be done with the place.
This isn't the most elegant solution, but it works: just enter the basement, go into stealth mode or otherwise remain hidden from the hostile turrets down there, then use your console mode (hit the tilde key) and enter the following: "killall" then hit enter. This will kill every single combat participant in the basement (including all BoS agents) but will NOT turn any factions against you. You will also notice that the synths in the room at the end of the area are not killed, but, depending on how you handled the Bunker Hill main quest, may still be standing in there and "cowering", which I found to be acceptable from a closure standpoint.
Does this patch not apply if I kill the Courser I'm supposed to work with outside? As that was what I was doing before storming the Utility Basement. And when I go in with this mod on, I still get invincible Railroad Hostiles, such as turrets and Railroad Heavies that mow down my BoS allies while they and I can't lay a single finger on them because their kill boxes won't go down.
Thank you for this. Of note - I never sided with BoS - in fact Bunker Hill was my first in-game encounter on this playthrough but I still had this same issue.
Forgive my paranoia, but will this cause the cell reset bug? Ever since I encountered it early on I've been overly....cautious about using mods that edit cells or worldspace entries.

Hope this helps some other OCD person out there!
