So, our policies are very simple, and entirely optional to follow. It's more something we encourage, rather than something we demand from our members. The policies are also fairly basic.

    1. We're hobbyists. I see modding as a hobby, and game development in general as a form of creative expression. An art form, if you will. I think commercialising it will mar the quality of mods in many ways. I'd hate to see what the modding equivalent of auto tuned music is. Even so, we do not actively oppose commercial mods. It's just not something this group is intended to support. Plus, the donations are a decent source of extra income if you make some quality content. I can confirm that personally.

    2. Everyone should be included. This is the main reason for this Guild. To allow people to go beyond the limits of working alone. To let everyone be able to participate in modding, and not have a small enclave of elite modders withholding things from others. I want us to make a community where you don't need expensive software, months of free time, and a whole team of dedicated modders, just to have your vision come true. I think sheer effort and passion alone should be enough to make a good mod.

    3. We help each other. If you can answer a question, or provide a set of skills (given you have the time and motivation, obviously), then do it. There's absolutely no logical reason not to help people if you're capable. It's a simple principle not just with modding, but also with life.

    4. Most important thing is fun. This also ties in with point 1. Commercialisation makes fun into work. Always do something because you enjoy it. Don't let others pressure you into doing something you don't like. Don't get burned out. Nobody will blame you if you give up on a big project because you find it too taxing. Especially since the whole point of this guild is that if someone gives up on something, it's out there as a resource for others to finish. Just relax, and have fun. Because modding can be an awful lot of fun if you let it.

Four simple policies, and, you can pick and choose which ones you like. We won't police you.

And if you have any other ideas you feel belongs on this charter, just put them in a comment. If people like them, they'll be included. The Guild is meant to be community driven, and democratic, after all.
