For some reason this mod doesn't seem to work for me anymore. What happens is I go into the crafting menu at the chemistry station, select the crafting option for the homing beacon, it shows me the list of required components - freezing the action - and when I confirm that I want to make one, the action remains frozen and I cannot exit out of the crafting menu anymore, even though I can still select and make other items. I just cannot get back out of the chemistry station and into the game anymore.
I am also using Craft Your Ammo, so it might be a conflict with that mod somehow - however, the two mods worked together peacefully before and I have not used any other version from that mod than the Realistic option dating from 29 March 2016.
So, this is not a mod that adds homing beacons that you can drop around the wasteland or attach to power armor for map markers. Because that's what I need. Anybody know of anything like that?
And spoilers be damned, you need to describe what this mod does better. How about "This mod adds a craftable version of the homing beacon you receive as a reward for finishing Here There Be Monsters."
i dont want to spoil it for you. Go look for a kid around the shamrock taphouse. Refrain from crafting this until you do the quest unless you want to spoil it.
The Homing Beacon is something you get from completing the quest 'Here there be Monsters" which you throw as a grenade and then several seconds later a tactical nuke comes down with the explosion radius and mushroom cloud of a mini-nuke but due to it coming down as a rocket it is almost useless as it likes to hit buildings tree and passing birds that is if it even shows up as it glitches sometimes and never falls and let's not even get started on how inaccurate it is even when it gets past all the other problems sometimes landing quite a distance away. Does that help you?
Trying not to spoil the disappointment? The Homing Beacon is the most useless thing there is follow by the artillery grenades as neither one works in a timely manner, provides any kind of reliability or can even be thrown a reasonable distance. See a cluster of enemies just begging to be bombarded from your sniping position on a hill? well to f*#@ing bad because you have to get to almost melee range to throw the beacons at which point it is just easier to shoot them. To be honest using the syringer is more useful than the artillery or the tactical nukes at least you can hit something with it.
Actually ive been using the mini nuke ignores Line of sight mod and im guessing the explosion from the homing beacon is the same thing cause it is definatley penetrating through stuff to kill peoples. Also if you use like Minuteman faction overhaul or other various artillery mods, artillery doesent suck anymore. Expand your horizions peoples.
So easily modifiable justifies half-assing their way through this game? nearly every inch of the games map and functions have issues or shortcomings that should have been addressed before launch.
