If you are commenting on this file - it hasnt been updated in ages, and when I did it I am pretty sure the ones you are citing were not in the game. They should be in Better Settlers version. This file is no longer supported.
No, it doesn't conflict with anything I have. There is a simpler explanation - the game pre-rolls the dice, so to say, beforehand, so the sex of next new settlers was pre-defined. After a few days, all new settlers are of requested sex, hence the mod is working as it should, thanks!
One more note. I think settlers in mainland and on the Island (Far Harbor) are different. They look different, have other dialogue lines etc. And men spawn there as well.
After installing this I had a random encounter with a "settler" at the cooking pot spot just outside of Concord. It was a woman but she talked in a male voice... She went on about how her stew was giving her massive gas... (It was an amusing encounter) not a biggie but you did ask if anyone see's anything weird to report it. Plus I have had occasional male settlers show up but that's no biggie. I do kind of wish there was a way to have like a setting like 60/40 or 70/30 but I'd have no idea how to do it. I just have a bunch of armor mods for females since my PC is one and wanted to be able to use the stuff them on my settlers but was getting WAAAAYYY more men than women before this.
I've had a male settler show up on Spectacle Island after the mod was installed - although thus far it's been 80% female, which is a lot better than vanilla.
There is no difference except mine is limited to only settlers. He has been making a patch for my other mod to work with his and I recommend his mod on my page. However, when I updated my other mod the other day and sent him a message about it so he can update his patch, it appears he may be absent. So I made an updated patch for my other mod and made this one too since it took less than 30 seconds to do so.
Basically, I just made it in case he was no longer modding. His current patch that he has up for Better Settlers is for an old version and wont work anymore I dont think. So I made one myself. I dont use his mod myself, but many do and I wanted to continue to give them that option.
