Little tease for ucpoming update, small but good one!
Fixed weird bipod and silencer moving while reloading bug on that singular barrel.
Fixed Grip clipping by adjusting model.
Adjusted a few stats here and there
Upcoming findable location plus OPTIONAL leveled list integration.
New Recievers.
ALL RECIEVERS will have an armor penetration stat, since it is widely accepted that the AMR should penetrate a lot more than a 10mm. It's an AMR after all.
DIFFERENT AMMO TYPES and Possible Compatibiliy patch with the LOADs. Mod ( which i think is amazing), so you can swap different ammunitions on the fly for more control and immersion.
Maybe some more. I Will post this update on monday (Today and sunday i am not at home for the Carnevale, so can't upload an almost finished update just hold on)-
It possible you can up the damage of the rifle to Weaponry Overhaul standards? or have that as an option? Cause currently ingame my 50 cal hunting rifle has 292 damage while the M82 has 166. Just thinking with such a badass Death cannon that it should be a little OP.
I think it could be pushed up to 180 maybe 200 but keep in mind it's semi auto while the hunting rifle is bolt action. Also if anything I think an AP receiver needs to be in the update, maybe an incendiary receiver since Bethesda though it was a good idea to remove custom ammo (eg Hollow Point/AP round) from the game when New Vegas had it >_>.
agree. i hope obsidian does another fallout because swapping ammo is FAR better than swapping receivers to change the properties of the ammo. a mod could in theory do it. it would just be the reload animation and the different properties of the ammo.
amazing mod so far. Very good job but I think the weapon is placed a little too high in comparison with all other weapons... it just takes up soo much screen space. If you could lower it a little I'd appreciate it very much
I dont think it should matter it is firing the same round cal (that's something i always hatted about beth games) but anyway i was thinking 300 because it is something that the NCA, as said in NC used to take down BOS (its fires good enough to go threw there armor..
(and to me seeing someone with a 50. i be like AWW SNIT!)
I'm having the same issue with the M82a3 AMR sounds. When scoped in and I fire, it sound hollow and far off. It doesn't have the 'normal' bass punch of a .50 BMG round.
i love this mod so far but could you make it possible to add shorter range scopes? i hate using the long range scope and would like to see at the very least the short range scope. either way, thanks for a great mod man
I haven't used this mod yet (I just installed it earlier tonight), but from all the screen shots...looking at the stock of this gun makes me want to punch a kitten. It just doesn't look like a stock, it...hurts my head to look at. Can you please add some sort of realistic looking stock to this thing? Hopefully I won't be eating my words in 15 min after I boot up the game and find out there actually IS a stock and it's just poor screen shots that make it look like the end of metal rod.
Edit - Well I installed the mod and the stock is visually there in the game, must be bad camera angles on the videos/screen shots. I haven't used it at distance yet, only close quarters because it was the heaviest hitting gun I have and a Sentry Bot was right in my face lol. But two "big" issues I'm coming up with...well three technically, but you already know about one.
1) The sound is bugged, it sounds like the shot is being shot from a mile away. It's barely audible and there seems to be no sound difference with the suppressor on the gun.
2) When 'viewing' the gun, where you can spin it around, zoom in and what not. The magazine is attached to the handle of the gun and to the side of it, not in the lower receiver where it should be. But in third and first person the model seems to be fine.
3) The one you know about, the double barrel mod in the crafting menu.
Besides that, I love the damage and the looks, I just wish I could hear that oh so sexy sound of a .50 BMG. But at least I finally have a dedicated sniper, time to retire the 'sniper' M14 =D
It's been mentioned before, but the model is absolutely huge. Takes up half of my screen at least. Great weapon and great fun to use, but when I zoom in and the scope is going way over my head, it kinda takes me out of it.
Hey man, this is fantastic work, I love this thing. My one, only complaint... can you add a Short Scope option? I feel that often, the long scope is too much. In fact, in my Vanilla playthrough, I never used the long scope, or even Recon or Nightvision scopes, medium or long. I felt they were too much. Thank you for your hard work on this, it's fantastic. Sounds great too Silenced and Unsilenced.
hey the bullets are coming out of the gun i emptied a whole clip in his head and nothing he just kept walking around i there and thing I can do to fix this thanks for the mod
"I am working on new ammo types for the weapon with in mind the LOADs mod. "
Are you going to maintain a version that wont require loads, and stays within the realm of vanilla damage. I love the AMR's but the other one on here does something like 1000 damage at full perks which is overkill.
hi m8, love the mod, just got one question, that NCR lookalike helmet you got in the images, can you please tell me what mod that is, because it looks awesome.
@GonzoTheSamuraiii It's only a sniper rifle because there's a scope on it. Put any other form of sights on it and it becomes a battle rifle. That is the distinction between the two, and a lot of us would prefer a battle rifle.
WEAPON DAMAGE INCREASED BY A BIT. ADDED AN INNATE ARMOR PENETRATION STAT INSIDE THE WEAPON, SO EVERY FUTURE RECIEVERS WILL HAVE AN ARMOR PENETRATION STAT, WHICH WILL CHANGE ACCORDING TO THE RECIEVER.
FIXED CLIPPING ISSUES ( VERY MUSCULAR MALE CHARACTERS AND VERY SLOOTY BOOBED FEMALE CHARACTERS MIGHT HAVE A FEW CLIPPINGS ON THE CHEST BUT AT MINIMUM LEVEL)
SILENCER REWORKED, MADE IT MORE REALISTIC.
FIXED WEIRD BIPOD RELOADING WITH THE MAGAZINE
FIXED SOME MORE RANDOM s#*!
SILENCER NOW IN THE MUZZLE CATEGORY, NOT IN THE BARREL ANYMORE.
ADDED TO LEVELED LISTS ( HIGH LEVEL GUNNERS, RAIDERS, AND TO AN UNIQUE NPC)
BEFORE INSTALLING BETA VERSION: UNINSTALL ALPHA VERSION, GO IN-GAME, SAVE. DOWNLOAD BETA, INSTALL IT, PLAY.
Noticed that this causes several glitches with Tinker Tom's Special : The mag from this rifle shows up on Tom's Special spliced through the grip of the stock covering the trigger area; although it's chambered for .50 Valdacil's sorting names both this and Tom's Special with a [.308] prefix instead of [.50]; lastly it significantly raises the damage output of Tom's Special (higher than the M82a3 itself).
Also of note is the title of your rifle displaying as M82a2 instead of M82a3.
seeing as there aren't many other m82 mods out there, im assuming my issue has to do with this one. I didnt download this mod itself, but I suspect there is some weapon packs that may have used assets from this mod. At any rate, does this populate levelled lists? I find that quite a huge percentage of brotherhood members now carry this rather than laser rifles, Id rather the regular scribe and foot knight just use a laser rifle so seeing them wield these big bad boys is a bit...out of place. Any clue what mod could possibly affect it?
This looks like a really cool mod, but my attention was stolen by the retextured riot gear in the preview images and now I need to know where I can find it
if you have distant fire sound problem do this ( I use vortex) 1: download this https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/36307 2:open it (from the download folder) but dont install it 3:go to Sound\fx\WPN\m82 4: now go to the original gun mod, go to its sound folder (Sounds\fx\WPN\m82) 5: drag and drop "fire2d.wav" file, to the mod you've just downloaded (the sound replacer). replace it with the fire2d.wav in the archive. 6: save the archive and install it like how you do with any mod (vortex)
The sound file in this mod is mislabeled. To get the correct sound, just open the mod and go to the "sounds" folder. Rename it to "sound" and that's it.
does anyone have a problem where the mod just doesn't activates? because I kept going to the console command and type the "m84 4" or "m84 0" and it doesn't show anything.

I too use a f'cking sniper rifle for CQC
Only took nearly a year to get an answer :)
Much of the description and stickied comments imply more work was to be done, but it never was.
Is it so hard to update the mod page with "I am no longer working on this mod"?
1: download this
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/36307
2:open it (from the download folder) but dont install it
3:go to Sound\fx\WPN\m82
