Hi all, I was wondering if the vanilla game has objects that have been scale up or down - like this mod allows us to do. I'm kindoff of a purist, and would only like to use scale if it has been used by the game designers.
Yes, scaling is used in the vanilla game. if you look at junk items, just as an example, you can see that plates taken from different locations (or sometimes not even different locations) are different sizes, even though they're all stacked in your inventory. Other objects that are different scales (and obvious about it if you collect a whole bunch and scrap them/decorate with them) include teddy bears, the various types of books, and cookware.
Skeletons also get scaled, to represent children/babies. Even creature NPCs get scaled, which is why some creature enemies are larger than others. It's especially noticeable when you have a lot of radroaches in one place.
In short, scaling is used quite a bit in the vanilla game, so resize stuff all you want. You won't be doing anything the devs haven't already done.
