I'm alive! This mod is not dead, just hardly neglected. I'm very busy with my degree, but done soon <3 Expect updates in mid/late December!

Hi not sure if this is working for me, tube flange end or connecting rods that weigh 5lbs. still only give the crazy 1 steel which a small can gives you more, also a hubcap is 2 aluminum which is the same as a can. I was expecting the ratios to be more realistic unless this is just not working.

Thank you so much for making this mod!  I've been using it for years, and every time I scrap a car and get more than a handful of steel, I thank you.  I expect a heckuva lot has happened in your life since you first published this, but I'm wondering if you have any plans for updating it now that the recent FO4 patch has borked so many mods.  It appears that the update affected your mod as well, and now I keep making a face.  :(

Finally a mod that acknowledges the fact cars contain more things than 20 pieces of scrap metal

Dude this must be a joke but 48 units of wood for a thin tree trunk is clearly too much. And you still haven't fix radio - rubber for scrapping it. WTF

In case the author doesnt know.

You cant scrap any garbage or fauna (trees still work) in the sunshine tidings co-op, which is pretty annoying when you look at the small fields that would look so nice without the bushes on them. IDK if its just me or if others have the same problem but i do hope it will get fixed because i dont wanna break my game by removing this mod and adding a different one.

So... Love the mod. but I am going to be THAT Guy and just say, that I am an electrician. I frequently remove a lot of old electrical equipment and the stuff that holds it up.

The reason you only get one screw out of that fan that clearly has 4 is because thats the only screw thats salvageable. Why do you only get a few wires? because the rest are degraded to the point of being a fire hazard.

Stuff deteriorates faster than you'd think. I work in a chem plant, and the stuff I pull out is less than 20 years old and almost unrecylable. with a furnace. the player is pulling this stuff out and jamming it into something else without remaking it.

so If you want immersion, than the base game is actually quite immersive as is.

If you want fun gameplay mechanics... download this mod like I am.

so this mod (plus many others) are not currently working or they partially work for very few items or none at all so i decided i am going to personally make an up to date mod that does what this does with logical scrap gains in mind first mod ive ever made so process will be quite slow as there is soooo many scrap items in fallout 4 settlement scrapping is done and  will start moving threw items ie toasters baby rattles etc will be just using vanilla components and weights for now no additional mod support planned  but should be sufficient enough for a modded playthrew as i myself have been getting frusterated by the vanilla scrap gains and am currently using about 104 mods anyways il post once finished

With this mod being out so long, I wish I'd found it sooner. I'll be honest, despite the many hours playing, restarting, playing, restarting (not getting further then meeting Piper in terms of main story), I've found FO4 really tedious & boring, a lot of that was down to unbalanced weapon weight, the other the stupidly low about of resources you can get at settlements (settlement building is boring enough as it is)...

I used the "Scrap Everything" Mod as I'm sure 99% have but the constant irritation of accidentally deleting walls or building foundations, leaving floating ceilings, reloading saves undoing 20+ minutes of grinding, wasn't worth keeping a hold of despite the extra resources it gave you. This is a brilliant, balanced fix to all settlement mining problems. 10/10
