Through reverse engineering of FX0x01's latest Malyuk - Assault Rifle mod, I successfully implemented Tactical Reload without requiring the Tactical Reload.esm plugin, while retaining Sprint Reload compatibility (limited to vanilla and DLC weapons). This might help those experiencing issues with Tactical Reload on next-gen versions.I downloaded a vanilla NG version of the game without F4SE, and this mod works. How was this achieved?
Open the mod's race tags in FO4Edit and replace all instances of with .Actors\Character\_1stPerson\Behaviors\GunBehavior.hkx Actors\Character\_1stPerson\Behaviors\GunBehaviorMalyuk.hkx
Rename the animation file to WPNReloadReserve.hkxWPNReloadTactical.hkx in your file explorer. This allowed the native Tactical Reload and Sprint Reload support of the FX0x01's Malyuk mod to be applied to other weapons through a silly method.
The main file implemented this feature on Bwones' vanilla and DLC reload animations. Since accessing the GunBehavior from another mods seems unsustainable, this mod will likely become obsolete quickly. Additionally, directly editing the vanilla game's HumanRaceSubGraphData may cause compatibility issues, though it can probably be resolved via FO4Edit with simple copy-pasting
The optional file applies the aforementioned method to DegenerateDak's Enfield MP-45, enabling Tactical Reload and Sprint Reload support for both drum magazines and standard magazines. Thanks to Shiagur42 for the Blender Animation tool — feel free to use these two animation files to add TR support elsewhere.
I tested this method on several other weapon mods, and it achieved the intended results perfectly.
The Malyuk Assault Rifle mod is strictly required for this to function. Another optional file provides a replacement .esp that retains only the Keywords and Idle Animation entries if you do not plan to use the Malyuk Assault Rifle mod.
